It was only for one night and we wished we could have stayed longer. It was warm and spacious. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped. The fresh flowers was a lovely touch. It’s about 10 minutes drive from the gorgeous town of Clifden. This is such a beautiful part of Ireland.

Offering a garden and lake view, Kilronan Cottage is set in Ballyconneely, 7 km from Alcock & Brown Memorial and 29 km from Kylemore Abbey. For me what makes Kilronan special was the location to Keogh's and it's superb seafood on your doorstep ! Also the house itself looked at on a beautiful lake and each room was full of light. Sands hotel and the coral beaches are very close , both prime spots to go in the area. Lastly the host really wants feedback and acts upon your suggestions so as to make it an even better house for the next guest .

Amazing location and a beautiful cottage with views in every direction! Nice open floor plan was wonderful for family time. The hosts were kind and helpful. Would recommend, but be sure to coordinate how recycling works with host before hand - it was a little unclear. And be sure to bring your own oil, salt, pepper, etc… They have all the pans and utensils you could need but no basics like that.

Martina the host was absolutely lovely. We stayed over Christmas and she had thought of everything incl. crackers and serviettes. It was decorated lovely. The place is cosy and has everything you need. All the beds and linen, crockery, serving ware is of a high quality.
