Set 1.5 km from the town of Koli, Kolin Lotus Cottages are located close to Lake Pielinen. These self-catering, semi-detached cottages have a children’s playground and BBQ facilities. It was much cosier than in the pictures and was spotlessly clean. This small resort functioned like a well oiled machine and the caretaker was on hand offering assistance/ taking conscientious care of ploughing the snow to aid our exit and entry to the property. It was very very cold when we visited and the snow was mounding up continuously, but there was firewood on tap and the sauna was wonderful. and the view/ position amongst the trees was just idyllic. The cabins are in the perfect location for visiting Koli national park; witnessing the crown snow load alone was worth the drive from Helsinki. For anyone doing the same be aware that driving in the snow can increase the predicted driving time by 1/3!

It was super nice to swim in the lake after sauna. The pictures give a real picture of the house, extra plus for that.

Nastanitev Loma-Autio Apaja se nahaja v mestu Puumala in ponuja teraso ter zasebno plažo. - amazing cottage right at the lakefront - very quiet, though in summer it might be more crowded - well equipped kitchen - amazing sauna - beautiful wooden plattform at the lake with ladder for swimming - sunny and with great views at sunset - clean, however since most people probably do self cleaning this depends partly on the people who rented it before you

Nastanitev Lampiranta Log cabin je v mestu Hossa v regiji Itä-Suomen in ponuja balkon ter razgled na jezero. This cabin was just great! Very clean and well hosted, nice quiet location with good access to mtb trails. Will definitely book again when going back to Hossa.

Nastanitev Lomatila Ollila Farm Stay se nahaja v mestu Kerimäki in ponuja brezplačno izposojo koles, vrt, skupni prostor za druženje, teraso, bar ter razgled na jezero. Rotating between sauna and swimming in the lake in perfect peaceful silence. After a good sleep an amazing home cooked breakfast helped start the day - and free roaming ducks and chickens really got you in the best possible mood. The landscape, comfort, food, staff, and peace really are unparalleled. On top of everything we even got to charge our car a bit during the night to help us reach our next destination. Without a doubt will be visiting again.

Offering a barbecue, Lake Cottage Jänisvaara is located in Kolinkylä, 11 km from Koli National Park. The accommodation features two saunas. Kolin tuoli-/maisemahissi is 8 km away. The house keeper was always in touch, and helped with directions. The cottage is very clean. It has a huge space: three rooms + living room + kitchen, sauna, bathroom and toilet. Everything works fine. The kitchen has everything to cook on and to eat from. The living room has nice fireplace. The house is lovely decorated in every small things: we felt secure and home by living there. There is also separate building of private wood-burning sauna on the cottage territory. Koli nature reserve is in 10 minutes drive - and is a nature wonder! There is complete silence everywere - it brings a lot of relaxation and peace to the soul. Planning to return there on the autumn season also. Thank a lot!

Surrounded by nature, these cottages are just off Finnish National Road 6, a 15-minute drive from Kajaani. Each features free Wi-Fi, along with a private sauna, full kitchen and garden-view terrace. Clean & nice cabin with a good floorplan. Got also the permission to charge an electric car from the outdoor schuko socket which was nice, even though naturally very slow.

Set by Lake Vuotjärvi, these cottages have a private wood-fired sauna and include access to a jetty and rowing boat. Microwaves, stoves and tea/coffee facilities are standard features. Wonderful location. Everything was perfect. Even the lake water temperature was not so cold. For two days we enjoyed the sauna, the lake, the boat, the silence, the landscape... The house is functional and has good privacy. Mrs. Marketta is a very kind host. Good value for money.
