Absolutely love love love this place.. it was my three year anniversary and I asked for roses throughout the room and on bed. I asked for a few special requests and didn’t know if they would do them. I was more then surprised and fulfilled when I walked in the door and it has a rose petal park to our bed with rose petals all on our bed saying congrats! Also they left a bottle of Prosecco and champagne glasses for us. We don’t drink but it was very special. We had two bed rooms. One had a small vanity and a bathtub. The other had a huge long vanity and glass shower with wonderful water pressure. We had a decently large closet in both rooms and two dressers. We had a full kitchen with a dishwasher, glassware, oven, fill fridge, stove and microwave. It’s came with everything. It was like a very pretty apartment. I would truly live there. We had a tv in our living space with a large couch. Each room had their own TVs as well. One room has a little office desk which is nice as well. Absolutely breathtaking. Staff were EXTREMELY nice. Both women I had seen there were wonderful.

If you like to walk, Portsmouth is perfect. Unfortunately Strawbery Banke Museum was closed for the season, a reason to return.
We found some great restaurants. We really liked The Franklin and were sorry to have missed Cava. Cava was closed for two weeks, so another reason to go back.
There were a few other restaurants we want to try too!

We stayed for one night enroute to NYC from New Brunswick, Canada and again on the way home. We would definitely go back for a longer stay. Close to shopping in Kittery; ate at Applebee's and the Olive Garden, two of our favorites when we visit the US. Delicious food and wonderful, friendly service.

Portsmouth is a fun city : lots to do and see nearby also. We enjoyed a movie at the cool music hall , and drove to nearby kittery outlets. We had a lovely late lunch at wentworth by the sea. Great breakfast at friendly toast and we signed up for a time before we went so skipped the wait outside. Lots of arty stores and a good bookstore too.
Enjoy!

We love the character of Portsmouth.
We love the character of Portsmouth. It's charming without being stuffy, and has a vibrant, funky feel downtown with some good restaurants. It's also very walkable, even when the conditions are a little challenging. Just be sure to check the weather for your trip and bring appropriate clothing and footwear. If you are in town, don't miss Caffe Kilim for great coffee, bakery and snack items. Also, grab a meal at The Green Elephant for some of the best vegetarian Thai food you will find in New England.

The Library Restaurant was amazing.
The Library Restaurant was amazing. Loved the feel of downtown being such a vibrant place. Historical sights were abound. Strawberry Banke, the Fort, the Tug Boats...people watching...the Music Hall too!
The room was great for a solo traveler. Single bed that was very comfy. The room itself was stylish and comfy. The desk placement was perfect to use my laptop and watch TV. The 3 ball lamp in the corner was a nice touch to the aesthetics. The bathroom was clean and spacious as I am a bigger person. Plenty of room! Biggest perk was an AC that actually went below 67 degrees! Most hotels I have stayed at lock the AC to 66-67 degrees at the lowest. This place's AC went all the way to 60 degrees!
I believe we were upgraded a suite and it was gorgeous. Newly renovated, modern aesthetic, very clean, comfortable bed. It honestly wasn't what we expecting judging by the outside look of the hotel, but our room exceeded our expectations. We felt like we were in a 4 or 5 star hotel. It's also very close to all the towns I wanted like to visit on the Southern Maine Coast and Portsmouth. Staff was pleasant and polite.
The property is beautiful and clean. Our room was very spacious with a newly updated bathroom and comfortable bed. We were within walking distance of downtown. We were impressed by our breakfast-it was delicious and healthy. This is an old, historical, quaint hotel updated with pleasant amenities of today. Thank you for having us! Everyone was so nice.
Quite a surprise for us! While the hotel is just off I-95, the set-back and insulation compensated, allowing a good night's sleep. The facilities were excellent although the restaurant was still being remodeled. But thanks to a free shuttle to downtown Portsmouth, with a friendly driver giving good tips, we had a great time. We will come back.
Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and bed comfortable making for a great night sleep and spacious bathroom. Supplied hardryer and iron when needed. Conveniently only over the road from various fast food places and shops. Only 10 mins in taxi from Portsmouth town.
Gotta say this was one of the best hotels ( that aren’t 5 star hotels ) that I’ve ever stayed at. We walked into the room and was pleasantly surprised with how big it was! The location of the hotel is very close to the market square too, about 5 mins driving.
Good location in Portsmouth, which is a great city to stroll around the boutique shops, port and soak up a little history.
More economical than other hotels along the south Maine/New Hampshire coast.
Breakfast included.
A lovely boutique hotel, situated just a couple of streets away from the shops and cafes of Portsmouth. Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed. A warm welcome. Hot and cold drinks and snacks available in the foyer.
The room was quiet, spacious, and clean. The building and decor were superb, the staff friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient to downtown Portsmouth. All in all a wonderful stay.
This is one of the cheapest hotels in town. We had a fairly clean room.
Breakfast is included - not a super selection but it will help to start the day.
