The hot spring mineral water was filling into the big pool, as it was cleaning day, and was wonderfully hot. The hot tub was nice as well.
Staff was especially pleasant.
I could use the pool area until 1:00 on the day I checked out. How great was that!

We needed to chill and disengage from our lives a bit.
We needed to chill and disengage from our lives a bit. This place magically does that for us . It's our second time here in 10 years and I don't like to revisit places but this is our magical place. The Alley House was a great delight! The crime free atmosphere was refreshing. It is a destination to behold. There are few places like this to experience.

Liked: This is a place for outdoor lovers!
Liked: This is a place for outdoor lovers! Many options for walking/hiking. Abundant lakes in and near the city if you love to fish! Very nice walking trail that follows the river through town.
The hot springs are ok if you like that sort of thing, but are on the pricey side.
Not so great: Not many dining options (a lot of the restaurants seem to be closed on Sunday) and seem to lean toward brew pubs and burger joints.

Charming little town with a lot to offer. We loved hiking the short trek to Treasure falls, soaking in Hippy Dippy Hot Springs along the snowy river, walking the town, delicious breakfast at Pagosa Bakery and a delicious dinner at Riff Raff on the Rio.

Scenic, friendly town on the western slope.
Scenic, friendly town on the western slope. Nice downtown area, restaurants and shops available. A hot-air balloon was flying overhead one morning. Enjoyed Made in Colorado, and Pagosa Flowers. Took a scenic drive north of town to Piedra and enjoyed seeing the beginnings of Fall aspen colors. Traffic was often a challenge on US 160.
Small rustic cabins with a kitchenette that was stocked with nice dishes and cleaning products. Gas fireplace stove in the living area was amazing! The bathrooms were clean and well stocked with soft towels. The cabin was great for 2 people and was very cozy and comfortable. The property itself was beautiful with the river running behind it. The trees in front of the cabins added to the cozy cabin feel especially after it snowed! Great location and easy access to the highway.
The breakfast was very, very disappointing. There were 5 items including coffee and juice available. I have had grab and go breakfasts at multiple hotels in the last 6 months and all were able to provide many and varied food choices despite Covid restrictions. Here, for quite an expensive room, we had to go out for breakfast.
We only saw one staff member (1 encounter) and one cleaning person in our 2 day stay.
The table in the room was broken and unusable.
My room was surprisingly large and it was nicely furnished, but not lavish. It was clean. The heat is radiated hot water from the springs. Natural heat, like Iceland! It works well. Some might find the fan for the radiator loud. It sounded like it might need service or replacement. The natural hot baths are the hotel's main attraction and they are as advertised. Watch it out there. There are plenty of slippery areas.
I stayed in one room suite. Coffee maker mini fridge and microwave. On-site host is very nice. For not much more than local hotels the privacy and quite is outstanding. Room and bed very comfortable and clean. Outside areas are mostly private and secluded. Her dogs are a pleasure to be around and not annoying but I like dogs and enjoy their company. Deer roam the property. I would absolutely use this again.
The place was well-equipped kitchen and a washing machine and dryer which are big pluses for me. It is big enough for a family of 4-6 people having a master's bedroom and two extra bedrooms downstairs with two full baths and a powder room in the living area. Also, it is just across the road to the edge of the lake. In all, it is a great place to stay and relax in Pagosa Springs.
It was a lovely, well equipped town house in a residential area away from downtown Pagosa Springs. There are many restaurants nearby and a wonderful supermarket. We brought a lot of food from home and were pleased with the amount of dishes, glassware, utensils, and appliances.
Basic continental breakfast, very nice and clean, with a wonderful seat by the windows where we saw hot air balloons.
When we checked in, John at the desk, helped us with places to eat and told us all about how to go about using the hot springs. He was wonderful!
The room was clean and the staff was really helpful and attentive. The kitchenette was a huge plus and there are a bunch of dining options within walking distance. Also, the hotel is a 5ish min walk to the hot springs.
although close to the highway, the room was quiet. The staff were welcoming, breakfast was good, and the hostess recommended an excellent restaurant nearby ( Pagosa Springs Brewery)
Best stay ever! Very comfortable bed and the bathroom was perfect. Hosts provided soap, shampoo, conditioner and hairdryer. So much better than any Pagosa hotel. Super clean too!
