Exploring Los Angeles, the place where many movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. Santa Monica Pier is the ending point of fabled Route 66, while just south is bohemian Venice Beach, lined by tall, swaying palms. Go slightly inland from the boardwalk to glimpse the canals that earned the area its name.
Head north to the golden beach and stunning scenery of Malibu and see why movie stars over the decades have settled here. Also popular with the rich and famous are Bel Air and Beverly Hills, home to exclusive Rodeo Drive.
And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalise celebrities of past and present. Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
Over the hill is Universal Studios, offering behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.
Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).

The joy of Los Angeles quickly disappeared when the hosts of the accommodation threatened us in writing via WhatsApp and insulted us in the most vile way. Who would want to stay here under such conditions?

Universal Studios is overrated with much more time waiting for things than experiencing anything. The Getty Museum and Villa are excellent and you only have to pay for parking once if you do both in one day. Be prepared to spend a whole day if you want to do Bonita however.

Palm trees, beaches, La Brea Tar Pits, Hollywood, Griffith Park Observatory! Drive west on Sunset to the sea. Great food of all kinds easily to be found. Unique sunsets. Universal Studios to the north, Disneyland to the south. Too much to see in one trip! BUT...a full spectrum experience, not everybody in Tinseltown has good luck, much homelessness and public distress to be seen on the streets.

I have to say I LOVE Los Angeles.
I have to say I LOVE Los Angeles. Its a must to see it. i heard a lot about the traffic but there is always a way to cut it off and even the people are super nice and asking careing question. A sad note is that some people are suffering and this was hard to see. I hope it will be better one day :)

Hated the BonaventureHotel downtown!
Hated the BonaventureHotel downtown! No hospitality or guest services that helped in anyway. Spent 4 hours walking around in circles to get anywhere. Even on 26 floor the city view promised is covered by taller buildings all around. Even the 35 floor. If you're 12 you'll love it. Would NOT recommend to Even people I hate...
LA Rocks! Stay anywhere else.
there is a coffee bar and drink bar in the lobby of Moxy, and you can order some special breakfast too. Their services are great and friendly. Moxy Hotel is located in a really great area, and it takes about 17 minutes to get the central LA, downtown Los Angeles. There are some museums, stadiums and entertainment facilities around Moxy Hotel too. I like the Hotel's design, location and the top restaurant of the building. If you are lucky, you can book a corner room and you can see the whole view of downtown LA. Very modern hotel.
I stayed 2 nights at Metro Plaza Hotel and enjoyed my stay. The hotel is in a great location, just a few minute walk from Union Station which gets you to the Metro and FlyAway Bus to airport. I was able to walk to all the downtown museums and concert venue. The staff was extremely helpful, and flexible on check-out times. I appreciated that there were several people at the reception desk at all times, which made it feel safe. My room was quiet and the bed comfy. It is a great value in the center of LA, would recommend.
Best stay ever !! You won’t regret it unless you decide not to stay !! Very clean, spacious and oh my what a beautiful view of almost all of downtown Los Angeles this property does include valet which happens to be very efficient! But that’s not it this property also includes fine dining, rooftop bars, jazz bars and much more only 25 minutes from Malibu !! I’ll save some room for your imagination but I ten out of ten recommend staying here if you’re ever in LA Book now think later and enjoy your stay at the Moxy!!
You could drive past this California bungalow fronted building without thinking there was a lovely little boutique hotel that extends out the back and up for 4 floors.
The proprietor and the front desk were lovely and accommodating people.
A simple but excellent continental breakfast with some of the best croissants I've ever had on the west coast of the USA.
Finally through the rooftop area with seating and drinks for sundown is a real seller.
I could not have been happier with my stay in LA.
I had an amazing stay at Loews Hollywood Hotel. Everything was perfect: very helpful and friendly staff, great food, location just a few steps from Walk of Fame and Hollywood blvd, comfortable bed and the room was equipped with everything I need it.
Thank you to Jayro from Front Office who even upgraded my room with a beautiful view over LA. I totally recommend this hotel if you’re coming to Los Angeles!☺️
The location was perfect for exploring downtown Hollywood. I loved the vintage vibe the hotel has. Gives off the classic Hollywood feel. The pool area was absolutely lovely! Our room wasn't ready in time, but therefore we got a free Cocktail in the lounge which was extremely romantic (next to a large fireplace). The staff was overly friendly and very accommodating. I can't wait to come back!
This hotel is amazing!! Right in the middle of downtown LA and you can’t hear a thing inside!! Immaculately clean and so wonderfully comfortable. Best beds and pillows ever! The cafe in the lobby is scrumptious and the staff is courteous and professional.I cannot say enough nice things about this relaxing oasis. This is our second stay and we will definitely return for many more.
This is a highly recommended hotel with clean spacious rooms, grand colonial decor and amazing facilities including restaurants shops exhibit gallery and Wellness club. It suits both leisure and business travelers as they have business center. Located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles this destination is within a few minutes drive from freeways and various attractions
Nice modern new hotel across the street from disney hall. It's in downtown but nice and clean area. I stayed here because I ran LA marathon so it was relatively close to the start point which is a Dodger stadium. I loved the room. I had a chance to check one of two restaurants on the lobby floor and it was amazing, food and service everything I highly recommend!
– Amazing owner and staff: always helpful, giving good advise where to go in LA, making place comfortable to live and trying their best. I also got a tour around the hostel
– provided towels, linen/sheets
– area is a hub to go anywhere(downtown, Hollywood or the beach)
– huge backyard
I am thankful for staff and roommates I had!
On-street parking outside. Good garden space. The host provides good facilities. Close to Universal Studios and Warner Brothers Studios. Close to 101 Freeway and Burbank airport. Easy to get to downtown LA, Santa Monica, and further afield in the greater Los Angeles area.
The rooms are nice, clean and cozy. The area around the hotel is quite calm and there are several restaurants nearby. Close to the LA international airport and LA downtown. The breakfast is simple but a few options are available making it a good meal experience.
Good value for money. The hotel is in a good location if you are planning to move around Hollywood or North of Los Angeles.
Good parking even for a large pickup.
Spacious and conformable room with fridge, coffee machine and microwave.
Proximity to Los Angeles Airport. You can even walk from the hotel to the airport. Free airport tranfer with amazing driver. Misplaced my phone in the and the security recovered it and kept till I return. It was fantastic stay all round.
Perfect for a one night stay near LAX. It was cheaper than other options close to the airport and the room was comfy and the airport shuttle was great. Check-in was easy and there was good food around for dinner.
The hotel location is good. Santa Monica bus 4 straight outside. I traveled by train thus Uber was cheap and quick. If you want to stay downtown this location is good. Motel is basic but that's what i expected.
The hotel was very close to the airport and the room was very clean. Loved that breakfast was included. Overall was a very nice hotel and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Los Angeles area.
+ the Guy was very nice and helpfull
+ near downtown
+ On metro station
+ Next to bakery
+ Cheap And placed in safe area with good mexicans restaurants
+ Late check-out
+ Upgrade for free
Location is nice near the beach in downtown Venice. It is also one of the cheaper places to stay in the area. I had a private room which is good size and I found very comfortable
I felt safe inside the building (downtown Los Angeles is not very safe and clean). But the building was very clean, the pool area, gym and lobby are very pleasant.
