There are many positives related to this property. Two not so positive nor negative items relate to construction at the site. If the construction was known ahead of travel, communication could and should have been provided. Our plans and choosing this site would not have changed, yet, a proper expectation would have been communicated.
Secondly, clarification of stored items in one of the closets whether they were for guest use or not is another communication missed opportunity. Overall, we did like the location and amenities.

Chickamauga is famous for the Civil War Battlefield nearby.
Chickamauga is famous for the Civil War Battlefield nearby. It is a very well-done National Park Service battlefield from one of the major battles with many monuments and explanations of how the battle played out. The historic town is small but scenic. There are several good restaurants in Chickamauga along the pizza, Tex-Mex, and barbecue line. Choo Choo Barbecue on the by-pass was my favorite, There could be more upscale restaurants there but we did not visit any as we were feeding grandchildren and had to cater to their tastes. There are the usual fast-food places and convenience stores along the by-pass as well.

It’s a quiet town just south of Chattanooga and it’s East of Rock City so you never really run out of places to explore! It’s a great destination for Civil War historians to come and visit and for those who are outdoors people, to get a change of scenery! The Battlefield was a great place for a morning hike as well as offered some wonderful spots for some photos!
