This was my sixth time at Amman, and to see how much it has increased in size is astonishing. The location is excellent and there is no end of activities to participate in. It was pleasing to hear that the older parts are soon to be demolished, they do show their age, and newer accommodation erected.

The staff was wonderful, and the facility was beautiful. The restaurant, bar and pool area were always very nice to hang out at, and despite the low season there was still a cosy atmosphere. There was an unfortunate event of turmoil just across the street on the ocean front ( government seizing property) but despite that Badolina stayed a beautiful safe oasis. Thank you in particular to the wonderful staff, manager and owner!

Stayed here for 4 days with my boyfriend. This place is absolutely amazing. The property is beach front, the beach is beautiful with white sand and cristal clear water. At high tides you can jump right in. It’s also situated in a lively area with lots of cafes and restaurants around. The property is very large, it comes with a beautiful, well maintained garden with lots of palm trees, bushes and flowers. It is the only hotel with such a nice large garden. We had the king room with ocean and garden view. It’s a large room, comfortable bed and very clean. Room service is also spot on. We really enjoyed the breakfast serviced on the terrace in front of the room. Breakfast has a nice choice and really keeps you going throughout the day. We also very much enjoyed the pool, it has a really good size for swimming. Everyone at the hotel was very kind and welcoming. Overall I can absolutely recommend this place for an unforgettable stay!

Canary is only a few minutes walk from the beach which makes for a nice sunny walk in the morning! However, by far the best feature of Canary hotel was its staff. Truly amazing people who sought to help us at every turn! They delivered the kind of service you would expect from the top luxury hotels around the world.

on the beach, expect constant stalking and harassment on a whole new level (and i've been to 70 countries including 7 other countries in Africa)
people will rudely interrupt your conversations or meddle even when you tend to children in case to offer their (sometimes illegal) goods or services, and become angry if ignored, or just keep standing/walking next to you, sometimes in groups, sometimes to the hotel door or whatever other destination, trying to imitate your language all the while
if you talk back to them and allow them to tag along, they will demand money for their time/effort afterwards
so definitely not recommended for families with kids, and generally you have to be tough to be able to enjoy the (very dirty) beach despite all this

Nungwi is probaly the nicest beach in Zanzibar. Its not overcrowded and yet has enough restaurants and bars. Alway take care when walking along the beach, when you try to return you might not be able to due to high and low tide. The beach and the resorts are beautiful. People are amazing!
This situation with the Masai though its literally unbearable.
They don't know when to stop bothering you.
I am there to enjoy the sun and the beach not to be harassed by them, after I kindly explained that I don't wish to talk, have a good day, they literally follow me and don't leave me alone.
This ruined my whole experience!! Every second, every single day.

Nungwi used to be a small fishersmen's town, but it is now buzzing with bars, hotels and restaurants and lots of activities to do. If you want to go on a snorkeling trip, or have other fun activities. Then this is your spot. I appreciated the beautiful ful of the ocean - with the clear blue waters and the fishermen working.

What i liked most is the Staff who were very caring especially when my daughter fell ill there did their best to help her. Food and ambience were just great not forgetting about the friendly owners, I would definately recommend a friend of even family members at your property, I have nothing to complain of.
We are returning guests to the Z and I have to say, it is better than ever. Their customer service is a 10/10, they go above and beyond to make you feel so special. We love the property, the cottage is stunning and the location is perfect for a stroll along the beach and to see places nearby. It’s safe and hygienic- for those wondering during Covid. Most importantly the food - it’s so fresh and tasty! We found good in Zanzibar to be a hit and miss; but at the Z it’s always been on point. Don’t think twice when booking!
Zanzibari Hotel is the best hotel that you can stay at in Zanzibar. Food is excellent. Rooms are so clean. Towels are changing everyday 2 times. You can also swim but if you prefer to swim at sandy beach you need to walk like 10 mins. Hotel provides you all you need. They work hard to make us happy. Thank you once again to all team Zanzibari. Masaian staff was also amazing. We ll %100 come again.
We were honeymoon couple and their surprise for us was also amazing. It was unforgettable!!!
%100 recommend.

Kihori is a great hotel, the rooms are spacious, very clean.
Breakfast was excellent and huge :)
Location is perfect, 10 steps from the beach.
The staff are amazing, Halima and Helda made my stay so much easier, they helped me with everything, changing money, pharmacy, getting around, all kinds of tips and tricks and also with organising trips with the best price I had in Zanzibar. I would recommend the hotel to everyone a 100 times.
Thanks once again to amazing Halima and Helda for everything :)
• Ahmed is an extremely friendly, chilled host. On our first night we arrived (to Zanzibar) with no cash. Ahmed very kindly popped out to get us water and beers. He also let us extend short notice for 3 days.
• Breakfast is very generous - fruit, fried breads, pancakes and eggs
• Room was basic but everything worked perfectly - we had no issues with hot water at all
• Location is great, short walk to beach and shops less than a minute away
• I would stay again - fantastic value for money
My family and I stayed at Riu Jambo for 4 nights and we absolutely loved it. All inclusive literally means "All inclusive" in that there were no hidden costs, food served was really delicious and the availability of snacks and drinks the whole day was a bonus. The hotel has an amazing beach with white sands and azure ocean, it was a really amazing view, especially at sunset! The five pools, kids activities, water gymnastics and other sports activities really added value to our stay.
The most significant and wonderful hotel in Zanzibar.
Reception good and the reception staff very professional!
Quality and nice place!
Food very good, tasty and fresh!
Staff, all polite, helpful and friendly and smiling all day long.
If you want to have a nice little bit of heaven i will fully recommend this hotel.
It's all worth it!
From bottom of my heart i thank you Canary Nungwi family and boss!
Well done for your help, time and for sharing your little heaven with us!
Atii Garden is the best stay you can get in Zanzibar. The owner and his stuff were very very friendly, kind , always there if you needed help. The property is like a oasis, lot of vegetation and a cute monkey says hello every morning. It is not noisy and it s very close to the beach. The room was always very clean, the water had pressure and the breakfast had everything you needed to start a morning : good coffee, tea , different menu choices. I super recommend it .
Location is the best, this place middle of everything. The best beach in Zanzibar less than a minute by walk. All shops on the way to beach are colorful. surrounded more than 20 restaurants . rooms are cleaning everyday and you have a strong internet connection in the room and in common area. staff tries their best to assist you with smile all the time. Breakfast Staff speak very basic english but not a big deal they are so kind.
We love to stay at this hotel, the room were very clean and beautiful, the yard is like a corner of heaven. Nearby you can find a lot of restaurants, and the beach in only 1 minute walk.
Elena and Matteo are the best people we had ever met, I don’t have enough words to express my feelings for them. I just can to thanks them for everything. When we will come back in zanzibar we definitely return at zanzicrown, at Elena and Matteo.
Our stay in Zanzibar at Nungwi Dreams by Mantis was very enjoyable. It is an excellent resort with a well trained staff. The front desk (Khatib) was very accommodating, the food and service was excellent (Noel and the Chef), the pool and beach crew (Abdul), was very attentive. The beach is small but the pools and grounds made up for it. Thank you all for making our stay enjoyable. I give Nungwi Dream by Mantis 5 stars and 9.8.
Location is very convenient for the beach, the rooms are basic, staff are very friendly and lovely ! But few issues made my stay not so enjoyable, first the WiFi only works in certain parts of the accommodation, needs to have a better ceiling fan or AC as it’s very hot in Zanzibar, loads of lizards and insects around the rooms, Papaya has some room to grow to shine be a 5* accommodation
The hotel was good and nice. Unfortunately the pool was out of order and therefore I didn't have the opportunity to enjoy it. The hotel is about 10 minutes walking distance from the beach which is O.K. but as general in Zanzibar, when you out of the hotel gate, you are already in the Third World reality.
I recommend this hotel for 2-4 night staying, relaxing, enjoying life. :-)
Nice property with very kind staff on the most beautiful beach of Zanzibar. Simple accommodation, Wifi and AC is good. Food is excellent, but the service is a little bit slow, bot not a big deal, this is Zanzibar, and like to pole pole lifestyle :-) The resort is walking distance from the restaurants and bars of the Nungwi beach. Perfect for a low budget holiday.
Gosbert the manager was very accommodating and took good care of us. Breakfast was always generous and sumptuous. It’s a newer hotel with spacious room and comfy beds. Walking distance to Nungwi beach. The airport transfers was smooth and reasonable price. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and family
Overall we were very pleased with the stay. The family which owns the property manages it pro actively. The quality of food was very good. We had breakfast and dinner everyday at the hotel. The Nungwi beach is a convenient 10 min walk away. We didn’t explore Kendwa.
A small yet good hotel. The owner Lesly and her husband were great hosts. They made the best food we had on our trip to Zanzibar. They offered great info and help in planning our trip. The Hotel is located in Nungwi which is a great area for swimming and snorkeling.
This property is in a great location in Nungwi. It's a cute rustic house with many rooms; great for a group or family. Close to the parties and the beach. The beach is the coolest temperature on Zanzibar.
the food, the room, the welcoming and the special gesture for our honeymoon (the only hotel in 3 bookings made in zanzibar that took into account our remark that we booked for our honeymoon)
The beach is definitely the nicest for swimming out of all the places we stayed in Zanzibar.Close to small shops you can walk to along.the beach and other restaurants. The staff were lovely
We have stayed at a jr. suite with a patio. The staff, the food and the beach were excellent. The best hotel in Zanzibar by far, even better than Riu Jambo.
