The Beachfront is exactly what it sets out to be.
The Beachfront is exactly what it sets out to be. Very comfortable accommodation within steps of a great beach. Need a car as even the facilities of Marriott Hotel are quite a long walk. However, if you want good quality, spacious and well equipped accommodation with good views, a seafood restaurant and a small shop on site, its perfect. Less than 50miles from Lisbon, Obidos only a few miles away. Great place to wind down. I will likely return

You need a car.
You need a car. The area is stunningly beautiful with miles of white sandy beaches. Some days the surf is too fierce for sea swimming but Obidos Lagoon provides a safe and calm place to keep cool. My son is a manual wheelchair user so the cobbled pavements were a little hard work but not un-manageable. We were only there for one week but would like to do a longer trip and review/report on accessible beaches. We went to the lagoon and carried him to the water - luckily we could do that between us. A couple of us walked on the beach from Praia Del Rey to Obidos Lagoon and had a nice meal at Rio Cortico Lagoa - nice fresh caught fish of the day :) Taxi's were great and locals are really friendly and helpful.

Plenty of sunbeds so no need to fight for them in the morning! Pool was pleasantly warm unlike many cold pools in Portugal! The beach was beautiful, the ocean was freezing even in August! Food at the hotel was good, but expensive. If you have a car, there are restaurants within a 10-15 minute ride. We enjoyed our time!
