Hosts were very organised and called me to ensure they knew our precise arrival time at the airport. They picked us up and also took us out to a local beach club when we said we wanted to go for a few beers. There were also fresh baursaks (I hope I've got that right!) in our kitchen for us, which was a very nice touch.

Great host and property. Our plans were delayed by a day and the place we were going to stay at was no longer available but the host found us another of her apartments to stay in instead. It was a beautiful little place, renovated very well. Highly recommended.

If you want the experience of staying in a 1960s genuine Soviet Khrushchyovka, go for this one. Whe you see the building exterior, you won't believe how wonderful it is inside. The apartment is so well thought out. Everything that you may need is there. Yet its compact and beautiful. We stayed as a family of four with our pet dog. Two additional bonuses its truly pet friendly and very close to Lake Balkhash.
