Maria is a wonderful host. Due to the rain we were unable to go out for dinner & she provided us with food to make a delicious simple Italian dinner, a highlight of our trip. The location was great for easy access to the funicular up to Orvieto and to the train station. The apartment was comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen & nice bathroom.
Hotel Duomo is just 15 steps up the stone stairway from Orvieto's majestic Gothic Cathedral. All rooms feature air conditioning, an LCD TV with DVD player, and a small table with 2 chairs.

The room was huge! Bedroom with bathroom and tv. Living room with an additional beds another tv. Kitchenette with a fridge and kettle. Patio with four chairs. Easy walk to and from the train or funicular. The hotel road is on the same path to walk up to the city center instead of the funicular. It’s a well marked by cobble stone at the end of the road. The path is easy if you hike at all but is totally doable if you don’t just take your time :)
