Muggia is a small coastal town near Trieste...and it is a very happening town that comes alive at night...where families come together at the central square for ice creams and some good food...I really liked the entire vibe of this town it's very clean and quiet and extremely relaxing...the restaurant has fresh seafood options if you're into seafood and amazing wines and a really good seafront to walk around. i really liked it...calm and relaxing place.

We liked Muggia.
We liked Muggia. It is small and easy to navigate the old town. The main Piazza has several bars and cafes, friendly and welcoming for a drink or a meal, and fun for people watching. There are more cafes and bars towards the waterfront. Just stroll around and enjoy the relative tranquility.
We arrived in Trieste by train, taxi to Muggia was around 35 euros. We took a day trip back to Trieste by ferry (fun in itself), and did lots of walking from Muggia. It's a nice respite from the tourist circuit, and so pretty with stone buildings and small alleyways, plus the castle (exterior) and Duomo to enjoy. Muggia Vecchio, up on the hill behind, was well worth the walk.

A bustling little town in the summer, a charming old town with narrow, winding streets. The town is located close to Trist, south-west Slovenia. The only negative is the proximity of the commercial port of Trieste.
Very nice and spacious flat on the first floor with a marvelous view on the Golf of Trieste. Our hosts provided us with a selection of fruits, drinks, biscuits and marmelades and were very helpful and friendly. During our five-day-stay we made trips to Trieste by boat (leaves from the furthest molo in Muggia - "Delfino Verde"), visited beaches both in Muggia and on the Slovenian border and also walked the beautiful Valley of Rosandra. There is a restaurant in the same street serving pizza and other baked and grilled dishes too.
Host Nerio and his family were very friendly and helpful.
The apartment was very spacious, clean and well equipped with great views of the sea.
Nerio was extremely hospitable and upon our arrival had fresh fruit, drinks and snacks waiting for us which was much appreciated. In additional he gave us fresh figs from his tree daily.
The distance to the center of town is walkable however there is a rather steep hill that may be challenging for some.
We would definitely stay here again if we return to Muggia.
Staff very friendly and helpful. We had a large room with a balcony and the hotel is spotlessly clean. Excellent choice of food at breakfast. The hotel is situated in the port of San Rocco, a beautiful location and only a short walk to the centre of Muggia. Guests have free use of the swimming pool area, a gym, bicycles and parking. A really lovely hotel and one we will definitely return to when in the area again.
This is a lovely apartment in a great location, two minutes walk from the centre of Muggia. The apartment is compact but very comfortable and has everything you need. Alice was a very kind and helpful host. She gave us great tips for the town, provided easy check in instructions, and answered our questions. I would recommend this apartment for a couple or friends who want to explore Muggia for a few days.
Hotel Oasi is a well kept, pleasant place with helpful, prepared and friendly staff, who could answer all our questions. The coffee for the breakfast is excellent too!
The bus station is right in front of the hotel, and the bus no. 20 to Trieste city center runs surprisingly often.
Also there is a very good pizzeria basically next to the hotel.
Highly recommended!
Location in the center of the old town of Muggia is perfect. very quiet, in 1 min to find restaurants and bars, the inner harbour, the cathedral and other important buiöldings. the owner of the appaartment was very friendly, sent me a WA notice in advance showing me pictures of the house, the key box, the door, so upon arrival I could directly walk in.
This hotel deserves attention. Absolutely unique style. Restaurant in a pleasant natural environment. The food was absolutely perfect and unique, at a very high level and can be compared to very famous restaurants. The chef is a specialist and prepares food so wonderfully that one can enjoy the look. I'd love to come back here someday
Apartment was exactly how we’ve expected, comfortable and clean. It’s location is really great. Downstairs there is bakery and small veggie shop:-). Lara is very kind and helpful, she welcomed us with huge amount of positive energy, there was no problem with safe place to keep our bikes. Our stay in Muggia was really enjoyable:-)
Very nice staff, perfectly clean hotel and rooms, our room had air conditioning (which was absolutely required), one cup of italian coffee/capucchino is included in the breakfast, the breakfast contains diverse offerings (bread, yogurt, sausage, marmelade, etc.), enough free parking lots are available on-site.
The location is great, the apartments brand new. Muggia is a cozy town built in Venetian style, just minutes from Trieste with her Asburg architecture... just a taste of the variety and contrasts this corner of Italy reserves to travellers.
A big thanks to Filip, he has been available and helpful all along!!
Everything was perfect, great location (midway between Trieste and Muggia), the appartmen was squeaky clean and had all the amenities you can need and more. The beds were very comfy. The breakfast was amazing! The hosts were the most wonderful people ever and we’re definitely coming back again!
Amazing location in the harbor!! Restaurants and shops near the hotel.
Staff was friendly and helpfull (especialy mister Robert).
Breakfest was good with an astonishing view.
Exceptional value for the money.
Cozy, comfortable hotel. Great location. Enjoyed the town of Muggia from where it was very convenient to visit Trieste by boat (only 30min.) or bus. Host welcomed me and kindly gave all relevant information.
Beautiful view from the room, the staff are exceptionally kind. We felt honestly welcomed. The room is well-equipped with AC, nice bathroom, etc. We highly recommend this hotel and Muggia overall!
