Really unique lodge. The staff were helpful. We were the only ones there so it was dead quiet. The sauna was a treat. The plentiful self-serve breakfast was great.

The beds were nice, the kitchen was clean and the bathroom was clean too. Spacious rooms and mine at least had a sink in it, which was nice.

Our one-night stop turned into two due to a heavy storm.
Our one-night stop turned into two due to a heavy storm. The hotel handled the situation very amenably. Good food in the hotel and also at the café and village shop in Breiddalsvik itself, which is about 5 km away. Fantastic scenery all round. Motor museum and brewery in the village with the opportunity to go for horse rides directly from the hotel.

It was a wonderful quiet town with lots of people who were very friendly. It seems that the town stays awake and serves food and drinks providing that people are their to eat and drink. Their service is first class.
Staff!!! Three ppl accommodated a tour bus full and a few car full of ppl who got stranded in a winter storm. The front desk attendant handled everything smoothly and efficiently. They worked well into the night to get everything settled. Good breakfast. The surroundings are picturesque, with a feeling of being out in nowhere. Beautiful antique-esque wood floors in the hotel.
Everything was perfect
The small cottage is really nice and well equipped
The hosts are friendly and kind, and provide all the information needed
Dinner was simple, still excellent
Breakfast is rich
It was very nice to enjoy the sauna and hot tub while the weather was cloudy and rainy
Thank you for your kindness, we'lk definitely recommend Hotel Staðarborg !
Beautiful little hotel. Fantastic value for the price. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. We ended up staying here one extra day due to road closures and it was one of the best days of the trip. The dinner was spectacular and the sauna was wonderful. We loved the reading lounge and our room was very nice.
The staff, facilities and overall "vibe" of this hotel was great! The room was very spacious and the bathroom was huge. The rooms are all wood paneled and the bed was the most comfortable one we slept on in over 10 days out of the 5 hotels we stayed at in Iceland! We would definitely stay here again!
The hotel met our expectations. An attendant was present when we arrived and gave us information about the hotel, its restaurant and a local touring map of the area. Breakfast was freshly prepared in the morning. The restaurant also offered dinner for an additional charge and was excellent.
A Quiet area with peaceful view! Smooth check-in although we were late on the day. Cosy room with comfortable beds! There were a sauna and a jacuzzi free to use and we were served with a great breakfast! The hotel owner was super friendly and sweet. We were super lucky to stay there.
The staff were amazing to help us when we couldn't leave to our next destination due to a storm that close all the roads and gave us suggestions.
The hotel is located across a craft beer bar, a small grocery and a restaurant.
The breakfast is totally worth.
Absolutely fantastic hotel. Beautiful rooms. Had one with balcony facing the lagoon. They allowed us to stay until we could get into the boat at 4 pm. Recommend staying here. 10 out of 10. Great location. Near all shops.
The whole look and fele of the hotel was special. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The billiard was a great past time. The jakuzzi and sauna are both available for everyone as well. A quite, hidden vintage gem.
An amazing isolated hotel with spectacular views. The service and meals were wonderful. We were there at the very end of the season. Be prepared for a 30 kilometer drive on a gravel road to access the site.
Very nice hotel close to the ring road. The host is really nice, helped us cleaning the car window after the snowstorm! And there is a piano in the common area. Also great view from the room’s window.
Excellent location, big room, and we loved the hotel lounge - very quaint and cosy with books, board games, and free tea & coffee. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We booked at Hotel Post, but upon arrival we were "upgraded" to the neighbouring Hotel Breiddalsvik (same owners apparently), my evaluation reflects that place.
