Wicklow is a historic town and still an operating harbour, in the vicinity of the Wicklow mountains. There's plenty of interest in the town, including the harbour area including the Black Tower, and the Old Gaol museum. There's pubs and restaurants to suit most tastes - I ate at the Blue seafood restaurant on the quay and it was excellent. For lighter meals there are cafes, coffee-houses and bakery tea rooms to from hipster to traditional. I busy, fun town.

The view of the Wicklow Mountains, while immersed in nature, an expansive property complete with Llamas, yoga studio, gardens and a peaceful ambiance throughout the building helped me relax after a very long journey. If you're looking for a more holistic get-away this would be the place to go.

    Truly the garden of Ireland.

Truly the garden of Ireland. So much to see and do that I would have needed AT LEAST a week to have seen everything I was interested in. Beautifully kept villages that were spotless and bustling with people. Local people extremely friendly. Can't wait to come back! I can really recommend a cafe 'Turquoise' for veggie or vegans. The amount of options there was amazing and the food was some of the best I've ever eaten. Along with 'The Happy Pear' in Greystones. You def need a car to get around and I can recommend stopping at Victors Way for a bit of a different experience with lots of unique statues.

The lodge is in a fabulous location, so close to beautiful walks and a very easy drive from Dublin Airport. Our room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. We had a lovely balcony off our room with the most amazing view over the Wicklow Mountains. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Everyone was so friendly and helpful with information about local attractions. We are only sorry we had one night because we could really have stayed much longer.

Brand new remodel and super clean. The beds were so comfortable and it was well appointed. Very close to the adorable Wicklow shops and pubs…very close! It was in a very safe area and we loved walking in the afternoons with the locals all out with their dogs, walking to Black Castle or having a pint in the evening. When we had a question about the washer, Graham popped over and showed us how to use it.

It’s immediately a second home! The hosts Matt and Rita are so nice and do everything for you! We stayed for two nights and had a personal shuttle from Matt to town and back, so we could drink a beer in the pub. They really care about their guests! Best place to stay in Wicklow, if you want to find a place like a second home.

I never stayed at the place and was charged for it. It was represented online as the city of Wicklow and it wasn't in Wicklow and I had no way to get there. It was falsely advertised.
