When I first arrived I thought it was nothing special but once you walk in it is amazing. The staff in every aspect from front to spa to restaurants were all excellent. It was nice to be out of the business of Killarney but close enough to enjoy the shops and restaurants. Easy access to Killarney National Park, bike rentals 1 mile away. Breakfast each morning was very good.
Nestled on the shores of Loch Lein, The Lake Hotel has magnificent mountain views. Just 1.2 mi from Killarney, a restaurant and the hotel has rooms with attached bathroom.

We had a lovely view of the lake from our room. Note that we were on the 2nd floor so the roof of the patio/restaurant below stuck out quite a bit. We were also close to the elevator as requested. The room had a fireplace which we did not use and was very clean. We used the laundry service which was appreciated. Also, we were able to book a Gap of Dunloe by pony and trap and return by boat tour thru the front desk manager. We chose to have breakfast included which was very good and enjoyed a dinner in their restaurant which was equally good.
