Location, view, balcony, cleanliness, plenty of towels. Breakfast was basic: sausages, fried eggs, salami, bread, cheese, tomatoes/ cucumber, coffee, biscuits, but we didn’t need more. The ladies in the kitchen were lovely! Parking on site. Easy check in.

Gori: A Day Trip from Tbilisi
Gori is a small and quiet town in central Georgia, with a population of around 50,000 people. It is best known as the birthplace of Joseph Stalin, and it is home to a number of Stalin-related museums and attractions.
Gori is a good enough place to visit for a day trip from Tbilisi, but there is not much to see or do otherwise. The main attractions in Gori are:
Stalin Museum: This museum is dedicated to the life and legacy of Joseph Stalin. It contains a large collection of artifacts, photographs, and documents related to him. The museum isn't well-organized and informative, and thus it is helpful to have a guide to explain the exhibits in more detail. There were photos of several men, but no real explanation as to who they were. We tried to find a guide who could explain things to us, but due to a language barrier, we failed at this. The ticket price is 15 GEL (6 USD) per person.
Gori Fortress: This medieval fortress is located on a hilltop overlooking the city. It offers underwhelming views of the surrounding countryside. The fortress is in ruins and didn't really feel like it was worth a climb.
Hero Memorial: It had cool giant sculptures but with no real explanation.
I also ate at Berkin Restaurant in Gori. The food was nice, but the prices were similar to Tbilisi, so it is not a budget-friendly option.
It's clear they are very new to tourists.
Overall, Gori is a worth a visit if you are interested in learning more about Joseph Stalin or Georgian history. However, there is not much else to see or do in the town, so it is best to visit as a day trip from Tbilisi.

I've been to Gori several times of the past years. The cutleti is awesome and the fortress is a fun place to explore. Aside from the infamous Stalin museum, there is a interesting ethnographic museum and the war museum.

We have fallen in love with Gori, it is one of our most favorite places to stay now. One of the best restaurants in Georgia call Gori home, from the ruins, to the temple to the Castle, slowly walking through oldtown or visiting one of the most iconic museums in history you cant stop falling in love with Gori, the rich culture, history and friendly hosts this area has to offer is seldom found outside of major centres around the world, the city successfully hosts their offering to travelers and guests.

Lots to see but do not miss those slightly hiding circle of warriors - all cut up with missing limps and obviously representing soldiers that have been slain in battle. At the base of the castle and behind a church.

A small town with a big heart. Easy to get around..... full of locals who willingly help the lost tourist. Easy to get to Uplistsikhe via mashrutka. Just a lovely place, don't miss it. We stayed for three days but could have stayed for forever!

A very interested area to visit, old history - one need to read a bid more before visiting the city of Gori
Lots of places to visit
If your accommodation is in the center you do not need to have transport, all is within walking distance
Local food is recommended
Very sweet family who will make you feel at home. Traditional family guesthouse, Gogi the owner is the winemaker who shared with us his family’s history of wine for the past 120 years. We had dinner at their home, Nino the wife cooks traditional georgian meals super tasty and abundant. We ate everything because it’s delicious. During dinner Gogi did a wine tasting with all the explanations. Excellent!
Before leaving, we bought 2 bottles of wine from his own production as we loved it so much!
Great experience. 10 out of 10.
We had a pleasant stay here. The apartment is almost brand new and well equipped and located at the centre of the city, It is only 5 minutes walk from the Stalin Museum. Bakery, coffeeshop and supermarket is just under the building. The owner is so kind to offer us a pickup from the E60 gas station (Our minivan driver heading to Tbilisi forgot to drop us in Gori and missed the exit on E60, instead, stopped at a service station along E60 near Gori).
Will come back if visiting Gori again.
Hostess was generous and smiley, gave me a piece of nice clothing, cheese, watermelon, tomatoes, many thanks. Location was excellent, close to supermarket and stadium (I paid 5 lari and enjoyed a nice soccer match), 20 minutes walk to the fortress. 7 minutes walk to the Public Service Hall where you can catch a bus to Tbilisi in the morning or take a bus to Gori Bus station where you will have more choices of destinations.
What can I say about the wonderful host Nitsa! She makes us feel home as soon as you step in. She welcomes you with her smile open heart and tea! She played wonderful piano for us and her house is lovely! She speaks good english and her family is also very friendly and knowledgeable. Gori is a great place to stay! Go and stay with her to understand the lovely georgian hospitality :)
Hosts are amazing, generous and friendly people. They treated us very good, I wish I could stay there longer. Instead of sightseeing Gori we stayed with them in the garden and drunk wine. They advised us the best places in region, also warned us about dangerous places we should avoid. Food was great, the best breakfast I ate in Georgia. Room was really clean and bed comfortable!
The location, all the main attractions are in one hour distance, places like sabaduri forest, borjomi Bakuriani, Gudauri mountain are 1-2 hours range.
The customer service and the attitude of the owner lady is amazing.
Also she prepares nice breakfast including Georgian-foods.
At night they keep home made vines for the guests. Best for family group and couples.
One of the best guesthouses we've been to during our two moth trip in Georgia. The owners are super kind and lovely. The furniture is very nice and the whole place is absolutely clean. The breakfast was amazing. We got a lot of tips for activities in the area and they organized transport to our next destination. Thank you so much for this great stay in Gori. :)
Absolutely amazing place. Welcoming staff. The building is newly built, all is fresh new and fresh clean. Comfortable feeling everywhere.
The management goes miles beyond expected to help their guests, true Georgian hospitality at it's best.
Highly recommended, the best place to stay in Gori.
Special thanks for cozy bathrobes and soft towels!
I did not have high hopes for a hotel in this rather small town and was positively surprised. The hotel is modern, clean, has an indoor pool / outdoor sunbathing. Highlight is the complementary wine tasting from 5 PM until 6 PM. Internet worked very well. Great location, easily walkable to everything you want to see or do in Gori.
This hotel surpassed my expectations the most. Everything is so cutemy decorated, new, clean, so much attention and love to details. All kind of information about Gori, complimentary wine, unlimited tea-coffee and even massage armchair included! Emma was superhospitable. Location very quiet and close to the center.
Great location and rooms are in excellent condition: everything is new and super clean. we were particularly impressed by the hospitality of the hostess of the hotel: she did her best to make us feel like at home. We absolutely recommend this hotel to all visitors of Gori
The host was super nice and made a great Georgian wine tasting with homemade products. The place is clean and it's great value for money. You need a car to get there from Gori, but it's right on the wine route. Would stay here again.
Fantastic staff, brand new hotel, great central location with a couple of stores nearby. The rooftop restaurant is coming soon, too. Really liked having breakfast on the balcony with a view. The mattress was comfy so we slept well.
The only place we had in Georgia with a well english-speaking host :)
Exceptionally clean room (could say the same regarding neighborhood) with an air conditioner. Also very quiet. We liked it a lot - slept very well!
Lia's beautiful home and generosity, her morning piano concerto, the magnificent paintings by Lia and her family, the homemade Georgian food, the informal / relaxed atmosphere, central location in quiet neighborhood
Clean guesthouse located in the center of Gori. The fortress is only 5 minutes away. Unfortunately I did not get to meet the host, but they were very quickly any questions I had through text! I recommend.
