The room was of a good size and quiet and the bed was comfortable and warm enough. The bathroom had good quality fittings and the water pressure was good. The gentleman attending the bar/breakfast was really attentive.

Clean and tidy but a little tired and in need of an upgrade

It was very clean, very local to. Town very very basic but just somewhere cheap to stay for the weekend.

If it was possible to give a six star rating, I would certainly have given one. Everything about this property was first class and more. This 16th Century building is amazingly well looked after and the rooms were as authentic as they come. This is the yardstick that all pub hotels should be measuring up to. Nearly all the staff were very friendly and willing to help with anything. This was made even better with the freshly cooked breakfast that I was served. It is one of the places to stay even if you are not doing anything in the area. I could go on and say a lot more but you should get the point by now. Thank you, well done and keep up the fine work!
