A proper mansion in an amazing location, managed by an exceptionally nice man.

We were pleasantly surprised at the size of our room. It had a sitting area and a view over the harbor. The facilities were clean and attractive, the staff was friendly and helpful!

Everyone working there were professional and friendly.
Everyone working there were professional and friendly. The hotel was spotless and showed the benefits of a recent refurb. We ate in the hotel the first night and the food was of a very high standard. Our room was in the newer wing (Room Fyne).. there are four rooms in a line with wonderful views over the loch... and I believe these rooms are slightly bigger than those in the older wing.
The rooms, restaurant, bar and lounge were spotless. We had a minor issue with plumbing (the shower temp was cool), were told that they had reduced the water pressure to our room and that would be remedied asap.
There is a full size snooker table in its own lounge that we may use the next time.
On our next night and at the suggestion of the hotel manager, we ate at the Kilchrenan Inn ( 5 mins drive from the hotel; you have to book as it is very popular). They just don't now how good they are. It was one of the nicest meals we have every had in Scotland. We could have chosen every option as the menu was so varied!
All in all, a huge surprise and an excellent stay at the Taychreggan hotel. Many thanks.

This is a very comfortable hotel with good rooms, friendly and efficient staff. The hotel has a beautiful location on the shores of Loch Awe.
We ate in the hotel each night; food was very good.
Kilchrenan is located some miles down a single track road; this means that each time you go out sightseeing you initially have to use this road.
In this part of Argyll there are many outdoor things to see and do such as hill walking, visits to Oban and elsewhere.

As I have communicated already to you, when we arrived , after booking some 8 weeks before, we discovered that no booking had been made and that there was no room in the hotel for us. This reflects extremely badly on your company , we wish you to organise a new date for us to visit the hotel at no cost to ourselves except for food and drink
The location was superb, down a long tiny road, which is a little hair raising. Once you reach the old hotel all your troubles vanish, it’s peace and tranquility, the rooms are lovely, the red Asian room was wonderful, we felt as though we were on a film set, with views over the loch. The dinners and breakfasts were very good indeed, the wines and whiskey excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the lack of showers, but it is a old building and charming in its old fashioned touches. We loved it!
I booked the The Ardanaiseig Hotel to celebrate a special occasion and wasn't disappointed.
The themed room was fantastic and a real treat. It had all the necessary items a luxury room should have.
The location is fantastic for an out of the way relaxing experience, with woods, nature trails and the loch right on the doorstep.
The restaurant is fantastic with exceptional service, fantastic food and drink.
The staff are polite, professional and informative, a pleasure to communicate with.
Everything was so lovely - staff went out of their way to be friendly and chatted with us about the place's history and Scotland as a whole. The management was so helpful and accommodating; they went above and beyond to ensure we were traveling safely through some rough weather. The rooms were immaculate and cozy. The property was so picturesque and full of great amenities, tons of cozy couches, the bar was well stocked, and the restaurant was world-class. 10/10 would stay here again!
Outstanding tranquil location on loch awe. Staff deserve special mention for their politeness and efficiency. Great breakfast with scenic views. Bar had a good selection of draught beers and wines. Little disappointed with menu, from my perspective, as it was probably aimed at a clientele with better, more appreciative appetite. Night time fire pits a great way to end the day and plenty of space around the hotel to sit quietly and enjoy the surrounds.
Outstanding experience! By far our favorite place that we’ve stayed in Scotland during our 2 weeks trip. Truly an experience, not just a hotel. Maxime, who works there, went above and beyond to make our stay even better than it already was. Gorgeous property surrounded by a beautiful nature! Saw 2 baby deers while driving in 😍. Restaurant food (both breakfast and dinner) were great too!
Dinner and Breakfast and of course wonderful location. The staff were truly excellent and very friendly. The menu for dinner was restricted due to some staff absence due to Covid , but we had an excellent dinner. Great value. The management is fully involved and available to chat , something that is not always seen in some hotels. Definitely worth visiting .
We love the hotel. It is a beautiful old house within a glorious setting. Gary gave us the warmest of welcomes and was attentive to all our needs. He added a real quality to our stay with his cheerfulness, humor, and knowledge. The rest of the staff were great too. Our rooms were beautiful and the food delicious.
Meals were very good! My (grown) son's burger was one of the best he has ever eaten.
The location on Lake Awe was amazing.
Talking to our wait staff - so very friendly and informative when asking about the hotel.
It was a great stay in a very charming, amazing noble house in a wonderful place near a loch. Staff was extremely friendly and thus enhancing the well-feeling in this hotel. We would have liked to stay much longer!
Location of the Taychreggan Hotel is stunning and has a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces which I feel will be enjoyed by all guests. The food was very good and the staff very pleasant.
Not quite sure why this is just a 3*** Hotel. It was simply amazing. The food was exceptionally good. If someone from Guide Michelin reads this, make sure you dine at Taychreggan :)
Ardanaiseig is stunning for nature lovers. The hotel has a beautiful view of the loch and has plenty of walking trails around the property. Great staff and very good food.
The off the beaten track, beautiful Ardanaisig Hotel nestled on 240 Acres with a beautiful view of a loch and mountains is breathtaking. A wonderful country hotel.
