Chose for our daughter's wedding
Stunning location with beautiful views
Comfortable rooms with HUGE comfy bed
The restaurant was relocated because of a refurb but the alternative facilities were superb and the food was delicious.
The staff were all amazing, special thanks to Jake and Lara
LOTS of very young, new staff members who were managed well by seniors

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was a good size and shower was ok. Location was very good for work and to access local amenities.
This country house hotel is in quiet gardens, just off the M4 motorway and 5 miles from Cardiff city center. It has views of the mountains, free parking and free Wi-Fi is available throughout.
We were there on a Sunday and it was raining pretty heavily.
We were there on a Sunday and it was raining pretty heavily. Only a couple of places were open. Luckily we got into YFan earlier and had a lovely rest and a tea while waiting for our room thanks to the hosts. They made our stay more pleasurable.

For business and just an overnight stay, we didn't spend a great deal of time exploring.
I would definitely revisit though.
Roads are clearly marked and there is lots of car parks or on street parking depending on the length of your stay. Quite hilly in some areas so worth driving around for 5 minutes to find somewhere more suitable if needed.
Morrisons has a large car park limited to 3 hours.
We visited the Courthouse for an evening meal and would highly recommend this pub. It's just lovely!
Plenty of seating both inside and outside, with a view of the castle.
Food and drink was good and the staff were polite and friendly.
We also visited the Piccadilly for a game of pool. A quieter pub (Tuesday) but both locals and staff friendly.

We always enjoy Caerphilly and found Ty Castell an excellent place for our needs. Steve was a great host, friendly & very helpful. We walked wherever we went & had no problems with that. Only a 2 night stay this time so we ate at Wetherspoons & Red Kite both quite reasonably priced & good food.

The Castle is huge and really interesting especially when there is an event going on - people all dressed in period costumes doing what they would have been doing back in the period they are representing. Lovely Italian restaurant overlooking the Castle.
The location just on the edge of Caerphilly was perfect with some wonderful views. The building has over 400 years of history and has been beautifully restored by the current owners. The breakfast choices were outstanding and beautifully cooked and presented by the owners. We stayed in the room Owen Glendower which was very spacious and clean with a sparkling clean en suite bathroom. It was incredible value for money. The owners said they will soon be advertising a master suite with 3 rooms, which will be excellent value for money.
Everything to like, owner Steve is amazing, very kind and helpful. Room was super clean and tidy, he freshened it up multiple times throughout our stay, made sure we always had plenty of water and dry towels. He gave us restaurant recommendations, helped us book a taxi and got us an iron and board straight away when we asked for it. Couldn’t ask for a better service! Location is great too just a couple blocks from pubs and restaurants, train station and stunning Caerphilly Castle.
The staff were very wecoming & very nice people. The room was all we needed & the bar down stairs was a great place to talk, drink & eat good food plus mix with the local people that used the bar. Got to learn about the local area & they even had a quiz night that we were welcome to take part in. It was a small 10 bed hotel with no phones in room or flash entry cards to worry about. Looking forward to returning again soon.
The property was centrally located with excellent views of Caerphilly castle right across the road. The apartment was delightful; bright, airy, clean and fully equipped. There was tea, coffee, bread and milk left for us which was a lovely touch. I’d highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again. There is also an overnight security guard who was so lovely and accommodating.
Great location .Local amenities within walking distance and a number of Take always including an award winning fish and chip shop
Pleasant walks from the house including a rive walk and a mountain walk
Good base for travelling to local centres of attraction such as Caerphilly Castle (largest in Wales) and train station with free parking for travel to Cardiff
Beautifully converted Elizabethan manor house. Gorgeous decor, very clean, lovely big bathroom. Delicious breakfast with locally sourced food. Secure private parking. Easy access to M4. Very friendly and interesting hosts. About 20 mins walk to Caerphilly where we had an excellent dinner in an Italian restaurant called Volare
Our stay here was a 30 minute alternate to the higher prices in Cardiff. We were a 10 minute walk to the train station. Steve was very accommodating with parking and early check in. We arrived early and took in The Little Cheese Festival in Caerphilly. We enjoyed a great breakfast on the first morning.
We always enjoy staying at a historic property like this, they’ve done a great job with improvements, it’s beautiful inside and out. The owners were kind and friendly, our room was spotless and very comfortable and we were able to walk into town for dinner.
Fabulous location.
Walk to local shops, Caerphilly castle and train station to Cardiff.
3 ensuite bedrooms meant we had our own space.
Fully fitted kitchen.
Cupboards full of everything we needed.
Downstairs toilet and washing machine were a bonus.
the location is excellent, and the nature reserve at the back of the property is beautiful, there are easy links to get to Cardiff, Swansea, and barry island. we were also able to get to Caerphilly and Newport very easily
The wide range of complimentaries. I did not expect travel toothbrushes and toothpaste per person. Soft bedding and comfortable beds. Quiet location which is a 5 minute to the Caerphilly train station if that.
Great budget hotel that takes dogs .
Great priced food and good selection of beers.
Good local establishment.
Good walks on door step.
Great bit of history linked to the original owner of the property.
