Auchendennan Farm Self Catering Cottages, hotel in Balloch

Auchendennan FarmSelf Catering Cottages offers a beautiful setting in Arden, a short walk from the shores of Loch Lomond and only 2 miles from Balloch.

Rose cottage was lovely inside and very clean. We were 2 couples so it was very handy to have 2 bathrooms. Everything we needed was there and we loved the hot tub! Although we didn’t use it, there was also a BBQ. The property is located in a beautiful setting close to Balloch (5-10 mins by car) and Loch Lomond. The cottage is on an estate with several other nice cottages. It is very noticeable that they have thought of everything, including an area with washing machines and an ice machine!

Lovely wee toon. Lots ongoing. KILT-WALK w/e. Helpful locals. Clean and tidy streets. Pubs, cafe’s and shops doing a great trade. Many outdoor facilities to choose from. Shopping outlet by Loch Lomond a brilliant place to visit. The wee eaterie by Pavers Shoe shop is great for food, drinks, people watching, views and a good venue for men, when the ladies go shopping 😄. This wee toon was rammed with walkers and “Kilties” ( people assisting the walkers and doing a great job of traffic management etc. keeping pedestrians and drivers safe , throughout the whole w/e ). Outstanding wee toon.

Beautiful scenery on the walks to Loch Lomond shores, if you can get on the boat tour then I would definitely recommend, so tranquil. The Tullie Inn is directly next to the train station and across the road is the boat trips booking office. We’ve stayed here a few times. Pleasant staff, cosy, comfortable and clean spacious rooms.

We have stayed there before. Like where it sits on the Loch. Easy access to parking. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Food good and great variety. The only downside is there is no sitting area away from the restaurant at night. Could do with a little bar to have a quiet drink before going to bed. You can easily access anywhere else in the Balloch area.

Didn't spend a huge amount of time in Balloch bit did a Loch Cruise with Sweeneys which was very pleasant. Also took a walk through the Castle Park and saw a Red Squirrel there, park is beautiful too which also has a walled garden. Lots of places to eat in Balloch and big Coop open 7 days a week until 10pm

Apart from the House of Fraser shopping centre there was not much else. Ideal for walking an=round the area but the town itself is in need of investment as it was pretty shabby, poor example of the gateway to Loch Lomond

Corner store by train very accommodating, can get sim card for your phone and some groceries, small deli, people use a lot, friendly owners/workers xx Shopping mall too/like. With things children can ride and ply on. Buses to go from Balloch area, walked a lot from Bruach Lodge, thru a park with picnic tables with fire pits to cook otherside is view of the Loch. Most ingratiating host ever who cooked us the best breakfast we had on our Scotland trip. Our room was plenty large, had heated bathroom floors and towel warmer, and a super comfy king bed (our first in a two-week stay). The lodge is within easy walking distance to Loch Lomond and there's a lovely walking path along side the Loch. If you want more restaurant options than are within walking distance, you'll need to head out in your car.

This was one of the great B&Bs we stayed at on our trip. It was the perfect place to stay to cap off our visit to Scotland. I can't think of anything that was lacking. The friendly host, the lovely room, the delicious breakfast, and the great location were all perfect. The host was so friendly and helpful. She even moved her own car so that we would have a better place to park! We are trying to think of an excuse to return!

Top class staff, super location. Beautiful hotel in the centre of balloch. Very clean, warm and modern. Food and drinks top class. We would stay again just for the staff and management alone, superb hospitality, laughs and that wholesome friendly local welcome you come to expect from a small town stay. Thanks to all the staff at Loch Lomond Hotel.
