Comfortable bed. Huge room. Great bathroom and very warm welcome. Thank you!
I was kindly given a free upgrade to a larger room with a shower over the bath. It was very welcome after a long journey and late arrival in the cold, rain and dark. Thanks!

There was nothing to fault with this hotel. The grounds were large and well kept, the bedrooms were large and very clean. The bathroom was much bigger than the average hotel bathroom with quality fittings. Even the towels were white and fluffy! The breakfast was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel for a stay.

We only stayed one night, and that was to long enough , a little out of the way , but the GPS got there. However, it would have done us a favour if it had not. As the hotel may be okay for illegal immigrants. I have no issue with Alfreton, or wonderful county of Derbyshire, just the rubbish chain of Hotels.

The place I stayed is in the village of Wessington and it is quieter than Alfreton itself.
Alfreton had a good charger for my electric car at a KFC but nearby there were other retail outlets and eateries.
I was mainly there to visit the National Tramway Museum at Crich which is not far from Wessington. There are also good places to walk.
I ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel and had soup and a roll and also morning coffee at the museum.

The only thing we didn't like about our stay is booking.coms site stayed it was a lot closer to where we were spending time with new family at their home. We wanted to be closer so we could all let our hair down . And at the property our room was just off the foyer and the alarm intermittently bleeped the whole time.

The centre of Alfreton is easy to get to with plenty of parking nearby for you to use or simply like most people park up in the big Tesco store rather than trying the 30 minute on street parking. The town has a range of stores and the usual charity shops in abundance. Banks are in good number as well as the ATM machines. It is clean and tidy, looks well cared for by the local council and is recommended for a visit.

The room and hotel were very clean. The staff were very helpful and polite. The food wasn't great and there was a lot of noise throughout the night.
I would recommend purely due to the cleanliness, the staff and the comfy bed, just don't expect to get a great night's sleep..

Good Place to visit , But be warned pub restaurants will not cook food after six o'clock pm sometimes earlier. Some pubs were actually closing at six pm. This is not just Alfreton this is mostly all the surrounding areas
that you may want to visit. Bakewell, Buxton, ect.
Amazing room, location, friendly lady at the desk who cooked amazing breakfast and gave us a very pleasant welcome. Had nice conversations with a few other people staying there and saw a few animals about. All in all was a great time and lovely place to stay.
Room was nicer than what I expected from the pictures, especially size wise. Had a lovely patio and the bathroom was perfectly clean and very nice to use.
Can't say a single negative thing. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.
The place is spotlessly clean staff are very helpfull and friendly good location big tv screens outside for sport and picnic benches also bouncy castle and children's play area on main road to matlock noise not a problem it's in a great place to reach all attractions and plenty around but matlock is a short drive Gulliver kingdom also the river runs through matlock many more attractions near by such as crich tram village 10 min drive from hotel
The rooms in this hotel are very spacious
The entire hotel is decorated to a very high standard with a sizeable outdoor area. The room we stayed in had an excellent shower and a very comfortable bed.
The staff are very welcoming, helpful and courteous. We ate breakfast and 2 evening meals all of which were very good indeed.
The hotel is reasonably well situated for visiting places such as Matlock and Bakewell.
Super friendly reception. The room was very clean - home like - and a nice little play to stay for the single traveller. There was plenty of room to park and the farm is really easy to find. The area itself seemed really nice with the Peaks only a few miles away. Breakfast was super and delivered to the door exactly on time.
The hotel and the surrounding countryside, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Loved the themed bedrooms. The staff were friendly , welcoming and very helpful. The restaurant and bar served excellent quality Breakfast, lunch and evening meals. There was a wide range menu choice for breakfast lunch and dinner.
I was on training at Slimming World Head office which is a 3 minute drive from the hotel so the location was perfect.
The staff were so friendly and made me feel like a regular even though I had only stayed once before I will 100% stay there again and have in fact already booked to return in November
My room was very clean and comfortable and loved the under floor heating especially in the en suite. I normally stay at a hotel when I’m in Derby but I’ll be booking the farm from now on, so much nicer. The location was just perfect and a beautiful 14 mins drive to my office.
Made to feel welcome and were happy to help, especially as I needed to add an extra night.
Room was large and bed comfortable, no noise or sleep issues.
Great staff and after my three nights I felt like a regular!
Definitely now my hotel when I'm in that area.
Thanks!
Brilliant as usual, spotlessly clean, modern room with good facilities. Friendly, warm welcome. Brilliant quiet location, walking distance to good local pub. Breakfast was delicious! This is our go to accommodation when visiting Derbyshire and the surrounding areas.
The hotel was very clean, as was our room. Shower very good. Breakfast was good, also the Sunday roast. Staff all very friendly. We stayed there to be close to Chatsworth House which we visited on the Monday.
Lovely place with Christmas trees, making it feel welcoming. Spacious rooms and hangers for clothes. Heating throughout the hotel was appreciated. Breakfast was additional but worth it. We will stay again!
Great value, low price I think possibly because the restaurant was being refurbished but still managed to serve a great dinner in a nice setting. Lovely trail for run/walk right behind the hotel.
the bedrooms were a lovely size, very comfortable, great views out the window to the rear of the hotel. staff were so hardworking, helpful and friendly.
