We loved the restaurant Panda Wok just next to the hotel. The hotel restaurant isn't open at weekends so this was a fun option. It was extremely lively and good value! Not gourmet but fresh food, huge choice.

Occasionally one is very pleasantly surprised by a booking. This was one. The house is lovely with an immaculate garden with pool and then a delightful annex for the guests. Breakfast included fresh croissants (of course) but also their own homemade jams and yoghurts. They have lovely dog Mocha who is friendly and placid.

A wonderful location opposite the ancient walls of Parthenay - quiet yet very easy to walk onto town. Welcoming hosts and a good breakfast. A bedroom with lots of character & a tranquil garden to soak up the sun in.

Ok for one evening stay.
I stayed for two weeks on business trip and had to get away the weekend, a boring place to be .
The fact that it was January didn’t help, everything looks grey and miserable.
The town is generally run down.
Some nice small village’s to visit but how many chateau and churches can you stare at.
Simply not for me .

My trip was very time limited.
My trip was very time limited. I could have spent a lot longer there. For such a small town, it has a lot of history and even has a hypermarket.
It was a bank holiday when I was there so much of the town was closed but it was clear it had much to offer.
I would love to go back for a proper visit when time permits.
Fantastic BnB! We took up all of the bedrooms with a group of friends, but I’m sure if other guests were staying at the same time it would have still been splendid. Since we took up all of the rooms I was able to look at all of the rooms and they all looked just like the photos. The entire property was amazingly clean and cozy. The location in the more medieval area of Parthenay is also amazing. Highly recommended!
Ideally situated on the ring road, with out-of-sight parking. Quiet on the non-road side , so not disturbed by traffic noise. Separate heater to warm the room efficiently. Room and communal areas were spotless. Breakfast much better than many hotels. Room size was so much better than budget hotels like Premiere Classe, F1 or Ibis budget.
Breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit, homemade yoghurts, a selection of fresh bread, cheeses and cold meats. The jams were homemade and delicious. The coffee was plentiful and delicious. The perfect start for a busy day of exploring Parthenay.
Our hosts were delightful, kind and very knowledgeable about the area.
The property is fabulous and located a short walk off the main shopping street in Parthenay. The host is very welcoming.
Breakfast was excellent with tea, coffee, bread, home baked brioche, selection of jams, fruit and yoghurt. The weather was very hot so the air conditioning in the room at night was very welcome.
Exceptionnal stopover in Parthenay. We didn't think much good about the city beside its medieval centre which was strangely calm but the stay at Château des plans in itself made it worthy. Vast and clean appartment in an old castle. We wished we had booked for longer.
the property was very big and comfortable and had a lot of Charm! located in the old parthenay we were able to visit the medieval part of Parthenay and the bar/restaurant next to it had the best charcuterie and cheese board.
The room was very comfortable, lovely views to the garden. Good location in Parthenay to walk and explore. Breakfast was excellent with homemade delights provided. Safe location to our bicycles to be parked during our stay.
Lovely remote setting, absolutely perfect for our house hunting / travelling / relaxation. Only 10km from Parthenay which is wonderful town with everything you could need, but remote enough to be relaxing and tranquil.

What a lovely place to stay. Right in the heart of medieval Parthenay. Our hosts were so kind and helpful. The room was lovely and the bathroom was huge. Everything was clean. The breakfast was really good too 😁
