The breakfast was plentiful and comprehensive in a continental mode. The staff were friendly and helpful - especially the manager whose English was good and he was patient with our French. The location was perfect. We loved the history of the building and the fact that Pissarro had painted the harbour from the window of our room.

The owner and his wife are the most respectful and thoughtful individuals. There ability to sit down and talk to us Canadians and thank Canada for their freedom. It made me proud to be a Canadian.

The view from our room (and bed) was spectacular. Friendly staff and fine food. Too bad we couldn't enjoy the terrace (and its terrific view) due to the weather.

The room was nice, but small, the little garden is charming and having a breakfast there was great.

The harbour area is an interesting area to walk around with lots of restaurants overlooking the waterfront. The market on saturday is very good. We visited the castle which is a good value tour with great views over the city. Dieppe also has several other coastal towns within about 40 minutes either side of it eg Treport and Veule les Roses. Driving in the area on the D925 was very relaxing and quite especially compared to the UK. Most places we visited had plenty of free parking.

Dieppe is a town steeped in Medieval history and Gothic buildings. Cathedrals and churches which are beautiful.
Dieppe is very expensive for food and drink especially.
French people seem very polite and friendly and greet you with a smile...
The food in various places was a bit disappointing for French Quisine.
They do not cater for vegetarian diners very well...
I am an English trained certified classic Chef who was taught to cook in the style of French Quisine and as such was often a little shocked that pomme fries were served up with almost at every meal and a lack of vegetables to accompany the order.
No Dauphinoise potatoes or other potatoe dishes offered on menus. Shocked at chips everywhere.
I myself am a former professional Classic trained French style Chef
Surprised at the limited choice of Menu at the Cafe Les Tribuneux.
One of the most famous restaurants in Dieppe..
Overall a friendly hustly bustly little town oozing with plenty of charm good atmosphere & hospitality.
I would still recommend Dieppe as a nice place to visit for travellers.
There is a great Fruit and Vegetable market on Saturdays also farmers selling fresh cheeses and other produce.
The market also sells clothes and leather goods, bags & purses. Etc...

Dieppe is an unsung holiday destination.
Dieppe is an unsung holiday destination. The expansive Saturday morning market is worth going for alone! It has a plethora of good restaurants and bars (take a bow "Au Bout La Bas"), a beautiful and very big beach, a fascinating history, and a brilliant swimming complex next to the beach. It also makes a great base for exploring the surrounding areas and towns such as Rouen and Etretat.

Wonderful town with old buildings, a busy harbour and a fabulous Saturday food market. Excellent food everywhere especially if you're a fish/seafood lover, spoilt for choice. Beach is clean and pebbly with lots of snack shacks for crepes/waffles and more.

Dieppe is beautiful with harbour walks and beach walks in horizontal streets. The castle is stunning at night and the harbour lights are incredible. There are lots of cafes and restaurants along the harbour. We went to one and they were unfriendly…. Quay 11. Food was ok but kind of hostile service. Most folks were pleasant.
In the street leading from the harbour there is a lovely restaurant Les Tribunaur,, with friendly staff and easy relaxed eating and drinking. But lots of choices so shop around. There is a tourist train which is a 45 minute ride all around the city and up to the castle. At 8 euros it’s a great buy. Boat trips along the coast daily too.

Dieppe is an amazing town . There are so many restaurants.
Dieppe is an amazing town . There are so many restaurants. Market is brilliant . Shops great . Harbour area lovely . Good beach prom walk . Lots to do . Little train . Museums . 2 churches . Great bars to sit outside .
The location is perfect - right on the seafront and next to the old harbour, and yet just a short walk to the shops, bars and restaurants of Dieppe. Our room was on the fifth floor and had an unimpeded view of the sea. The desk staff were very friendly, chatty and helpful. The hotel could benefit from investment in the communal areas, but our room was clean and functional, the bed was large and the pillows were comfortable. Overall, excellent value for a couple of nights, and worth every penny for the location alone.
We had a great single night stay at the Mercure Dieppe. Our room was great, with a sofa round the corner and the most comfy bed I had slept in during our week in France. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast is served in a room on the top floor of the hotel, which has an amazing view of the seafront and Chateau. Location is fab - really close to all the good stuff Dieppe has to offer
Room was well equipped including a kettle and fridge. There was a warm welcome and it is possible to arrive late here which is useful if you are on a late ferry. The room was very warm on arrival but my top floor room had large opening windows so it was possible to cool it down in time. It was quiet within the hotel.
Didn't have time to enjoy the view od the meal options.
Location excellent. A half hour walk from the ferry terminal. The rooms are clean and efficient, there are no 'frills'.
The staff are friendly and efficient. The hotel is situated 10 minutes walk from the train station, and is handily placed for central town. I would stay in this hotel again.
Good sized rooms. Nice variety of breakfast foods. Clean and comfortable rooms. Efficient staff who emailed and phoned to confirm details of access for late arrival. Great location for quick access to ferry port and centre of Dieppe/restaurants, etc. Perfect for a one night stopover.
Really liked this little hotel, so near the centre of Dieppe, excellent for access to the restaurants around the harbour and nearby boulangeries on the Sunday morning, to buy our picnic. Very good welcome by the staff. Unrestricted parking outside as it was the weekend was a bonus too.
Easy to find. City centre. walking distance from Dieppe pedestrian centre.
Bike storage facilities. Kettle in the room. Only hotel of the 4 I used on the trip to have a kettle in the room! Used to cyclists. Excellent value for money overall.
Okay for 1 night off the ferry en route to another part of France. Parking was good and there was a supermarket nearby to purchase water and some basic groceries. Retail area nearby - 10min walk had a great restaurant Au Bureau.
Nice and close to Dieppe ferry port so handy for a sailing the next morning.
Bed was big and comfortable.
Room was clean.
Restaurant did good food, there’s not that many other places around to eat.
Excellent location and perfect for central Dieppe. Good facilities, clean and tidy accommodation with plenty of room. The owner was also very helpful and helped make our short stay even better.
Spacious and well equipped apartment, just a short walk to Dieppe Harbour. Very handy for ferry, with parking right outside. Well worth stopping and spending some time in Dieppe en-route.
The hotel was quite close to most of what we wanted to see / do in Dieppe. Some (but not all) of the hotel staff were pleasant. Breakfast was ok but expensive at 10 Euros pp.
Location was good BUT Dieppe is a busy place and the Hotel has no parking and so parking anywhere near the Hotel was a bit of a lottery - but this improve into the evening.
