Hôtel La Colombiere Cantal, hotel in Blesle

La Colombiere Cantal is situated on the A75 motorway in the heart of the Auvergne region. It provides soundproofed rooms with free wired internet and an outdoor terrace and garden.

Situated just on the outskirts of Massiac a few minutes from the motorway with a river at the back and hills all around, this hotel is in an excellent location. Rather showing its age but still very comfortable. Parking on site just outside the front entrance. Also very close to Massiac and its restaurants and supermarkets.

Located in Massiac, Grand Hôtel de la Poste is 200 metres from the train station and 9 km from Blesle. It offers 2 swimming pools, free WiFi access and a terrace with sun loungers.

Nothing It is a disgrace to call this a hotel. No staff in attendance. Dirty and dusty reception area. Very neglected, more like a hostel than a hotel

Beautiful little village nestled in the French hills.

Beautiful little village nestled in the French hills. We were only stopping for a night en route through France but we’re very pleasantly surprised by the little gem which feels like stepping back in time a few hundred years.

Blesle is a beautiful medieval village in Auvergne region, in the centre of France. It is rich with history and culture and is a perfect spot to do trekkings and hikes around. For eating, one can only recommend the "Auberge" la Bougnate which has an affordable Michelin-rated restaurant with simple, high quality menu and varied well-selected wine list. Do not miss the lovely village of Leyvaux, 15 km off at the very end of the road with a historical chapel from the 12th century.

If you are looking at this review, I think its safe to say that you want to experience the hotel restaurant or amazing Blesle, or both. Both Blesle and the food are sublime. The restaurant is ordinary, the rooms are ordinary, bordering on the scruffy, but reasonably comfortable and completely adequate to fall into after you have gorged yourself on mediaeval architecture, picture box views and above all some extraordinary (and amazing value) cuisine. Come quick before the owner retires and someone wrecks it.

Great place to stay. The host is wonderful and we enjoyed a lovely drink downstairs in his amazing pub area before going across the street for dinner which he thoughtfully had checked was open for us. This small hotel is so comfortable and friendly to stay in and the little town is a hidden gem. We now want to head back for longer! The underfloor heating in our room and excellent water pressure were also both appreciated.

Lovely place in a very pretty village. Toon is friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed drinks in the bar that is part of the property. Couldn’t fault the room, warm, pretty, ensuite. No breakfast but boulangerie in the village so you can buy croissants and enjoy with a coffee back at the hotel. Restaurants and cafes in village but the were all closed while we were there (a snowy Sunday night in Jan)

Convenient location not too far from the highway, set in a beautiful landscape. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and definitely want to come back!

The hotel is in an idyllic village with a truly wonderful restaurant. The staff are friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable. Parking was free and just outside. It was the perfect overnight stopover when travelling down to the south of France. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Quaint hotel in the center of a medieval village with clean comfortable rooms. Dinner on site was wonderful. Staff very friendly. One caution if you are a light sleeper, the village bell/clock tower rings on the hour and then one chime every half hour all night long.

Our second stay at La Boutique after one night in March '23 with the promise that we would return. This time 3 nights and the welcome/ hospitality was just as formidable. Toon, our host, was brilliant, the village of Blesle and its surrounding area so worth a visit.

Great room - old fashioned small hotel, charming, comfy, nice bathroom. Breakfast was fine; nice proper fresh croissants. Good value. There were very few parking spaces in the small, bustling, touristy town and we were immediately found a space by the hotel.

Our room had no curtains. The breakfast was poor value at eleven euros each and with the hotel being empty it hardly seemed necessary to charge ten euros for a small dog. The food was good.
