We enjoyed visiting the cathedral and the surrounding old town. Also seeing the steady stream of pilgrims arriving elated at the main square in front of the cathedral. We had hoped to see the priests swinging the censor during mass, but this apparently only happens on certain days of the year. You don't have to be catholic to appreciate the historical...
You don't have to be catholic to appreciate the historical aspect of this charming city. We attended noon mass one day and visited the crypt with the supposed relics of St. Santiago (James) on another day. Loads of restaurants, shops, the usual touristy stuff. There's a little "tourist train" that costs about $12 for 2 seniors -- during the 45 min. ride, a recording in many languages gives you the latest info.

We used the second bedroom to store our luggage. We appreciated the washing machine. The kitchen is nicely outfitted but we just used the refrigerator. Lots of windows and daylight. The space was good for the two of us - room to spread out. The location was excellent - we were able to walk to everything. We did have a car and there was a parking garage just a few minutes away.
