Loved my stay here. The room was clean. The bathroom was clean and was bigger than most hotel bathrooms. The beds were comfortable. They had a microwave. The hotel is not very close to the top attractions at Kingston but it didn’t affect us since we had our own car.

We enjoyed the waterfront parks and the Gord Downie pier.

We enjoyed the waterfront parks and the Gord Downie pier. Also there was some good outlet shopping and mall shopping. Since it was only late April, a number of attractions were not open yet. Also, most places were dog friendly and staff came out to say “bring your dog in”. But we would suggest signage indicating dog friendly or not. ( A simple sign on each entrance to malls, for example.). We had our own car, so easy to get around, and no problem to find parking.

Surprisingly there were a lot of very good and high end restaurants. I was not expecting it during April. The 1000 island cruise was ok but not really something that you “must do” or experience. Recommended you take the ferry to Wolf Island (free) just for the ride (stay on and don’t get off at Wolf Island). The walking track along the river was a highlight. The trolly car was also worthwhile. You get to see a lot of the old buildings on the tour. Kingston history is fascinating. You can also go and walk around the University as well.

Kingston carries itself with the poise of a bigger city while remaining relatively small. Lots of Gothic Revival architecture for the art nerds (I include myself on that list) and a friendly atmosphere made Kingston a fun visit. Also some really good bars and restaurants for a town of its size. A worthwhile visit if traveling between Montreal, Toronto, or Ottawa.

There are great walking trails along the waterfront and the downtown area was less than 10 minute walking distance and felt safe in the evening. The shops were varied and there were plenty of restaurants, bars and pubs to choose from.

I was traveling with teenagers and my puppy. We were spending some time downtown enjoying the city, this hotel was located a bit out of the city off the highway in a quiet area. It was pet friendly and brand new. The staff were very welcoming and super friendly. I was a bit nervous bringing my 15 month old somewhat anxious dog with me but everything worked out great! The staff made sure we were welcomed and comfortable!! The lobby as well as the grounds provided lots of green space to get outside and sit. We had a wonderful experience!

I have stayed several times at the Green Acres, most recently for 6 nights while visiting family. I love it. Rooms are spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed--including microwave, coffee maker, plates/utensils, Wi-Fi, iPhone charger, cable tv, iron/ironing board, hairdryer--even bathrobes and a bud vase with flowers in the bathroom. Location is great for anyone with family or business in the northern part of Kingston, and it's a short and easy drive to downtown. There's also a pond with a beaver dam on the property!

The location is very good, with the hotel within walking distance of the Visitor Information Centre, Confederation Park, City Hall, tour ferry to the 1000 islands, and the city centre with its shops and restaurants. We appreciated that there was safe parking at the hotel: the charge of $20/day was reasonable considering that parking in Downtown Kingston on a busy day is difficult to find.

Although an older Motel, the facilities offered a secure, clean, quiet, and affordable place to rest our head. It is located near Highway 401 (hardly hear the noise) and it is less than 10 minutes away from downtown Kingston. There are a couple of restaurants that are walking distance and you can fuel up next door. It is the convenient for all your needs.

My wife liked this hotel because of the staff's relationship with their customers and the comfy bed. The breakfast does not have much to choose from and the location is way off from downtown. If you like a quiet and peaceful environment during your stay in Kingston then this is your best choice.

Simple and efficient check in and check out process. The smart TV allowed us to log into our own Netflix account. The majority of the rooms are a waterfront view, being that the hotel is out on a pier. It was central with easy access to the Kingston downtown core.
