The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the croissant was the best I’ve ever hand. The young lady who assisted with breakfast was very nice and took care to ensure that my wife’s dietary requirements were met. The location, just across the river in Gorica means you have a short walk to Berat Castle and other attractions. Parking was easy in a reserved area next to the hotel.

Two full days is plenty of time to explore Berat. The castle is worth a visit maybe a taxi up and walk down as its very steep. The two bridges are nice to walk over and the view at night is wonderful. A nice reasonable restaurant is Friendly House the restaurant is upstairs and looks out over the river.

Based on the local suggestion, every year, there is an event called epiphany on Jan 6. It will be super good if you can witness this wonderful event.

Was very underwhelmed by Berat.
Was very underwhelmed by Berat. One big building site and litter everywhere. View is alright but nothing special. Not much to do. Very quiet in March but traffic already tough so wouldn’t want to be there in summer.
Only playground in the village was extremely dirty and many things were broken.

The hosts were very hospitable and ready to help if anything was needed. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Berat with excellent amenities.

Berat is charming city it is worth to stay here for couple of night, Personal of this hotel will hepl u too feel real Albanian hostitality
The property was recently renovated and opened, so everything is new and works well. The house has four rooms for guests, which gives is a cozy and personal feel. When we visited we were the only guests so we got the whole place to ourselves. The property owner was one of the most welcoming men we had met and went out of his way to make sure we have everything we need and beyond! Really impressed by Amalia Boutique Hotel and will recommend to anyone visiting Berat!
Everything was perfect! The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious with variety of tradicional things. My room was clean, big and with a cute small balcony. The lady at the recepsion can speak English, Italian and also German. The Lodge of Wine at the corner was perfect and there I have bought Albanian Wines for my family and friends. The best Hotel that I have stayed in Albania! I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who arrive to Berat.

-hike to castle through the back to avoid entrance fee thanks to hotel staff
-extremely friendly family staff
-our best breakfast in Albania as they go for quality over quantity, it’s not a buffet
-free private parking at the back of the hotel, secure
-one of the two bridges of Berat is 10m away
-good A/C
This was the most amazing stay! The hotel owners were the kindest people — they made us feel welcome right away, gave us recommendations for our stay, took us on a tour around Berat, and even drove us to and from the bus station. They were so friendly and hospitable. I highly recommend this stay for anyone coming to Berat. The hotel is perfectly central too, and the views are excellent!
Berat is a medieval jewel in Albania. Mira (spelling?) our host and owner runs a beautiful little guesthouse with 7 rooms that are spotless clean, comfortable with individual AC units and bathrooms. The breakfast on her terrace is sumptuous and she’s always ready to help as she did with arranging private transportation to Saranda 3 hours away.
Breakfast was delicious. Adriano, in the restaurant, was especially endearing; always making our stay extra special. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. It was great to be able to stay within the castle walls and nearby parking was helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend The Berati Castle Hotel without hesitation.
White House Berat is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Berat. It’s clean, comfortable, quiet and the staff go above and beyond with their service. The breakfast was delicious and robust, providing many choices for all tastes. The hotel location is also perfect for anyone wanting to be centrally located in the charming old town.
When you visit Berat, what comes to your mind is the history of the city and the architecture that the city is built on.This hotel gives you a little peek to the antiquity of Berat.Amazing service, staff very friendly I must note and the rooms were amazing, the views from the hotel is amazing and you can feel the city rush .
Fantastic hotel in the centre of Berat. The views are superb, large windows to see across the river and hillside. We had two rooms, both were very spacious, traditional features but modern bathrooms. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was the best we had in Albania. It’s on the main road but included parking spot.
We did a two week trip in Albania staying in some of top rated hotels around the main tourist cities. Hani i Xheblatit was our total favourite - immediately picked us up from the bus station at arrival, welcome tray of fruits and local alcohol(raki), best breakfast ever and greatest view of berat possible. Nicest hosts
The hotel is absolutely perfect for a stay in Berat ! The people are really sweet and helpful, the rooms have new bedding, nice acomodations and a lovely Albanian decoration. There is a nice view from the little terrasse to the old city white houses, and the buffet breakfast is perfect. Go !
The hotel is enchanting. Staying there really enhances the experience in Berat. It was charming walking up the cobblestone streets to find the hotel. The proprietors serve a lovely breakfast that includes olives from their garden. The views from the terrace and the front room are incredible.
A very charming, family run hotel very well located in Berat. Exceptional staff and service - very warm and hospitable. Must have dinner at the restaurant as the food was amongst the best we had in Albania. The mother runs the kitchen and the food had very strong home food vibes.
If you are a foreigner and you are wondering about where to stay in Berat. This is the place to be. This is coming from an Albanian. You will be impressed by the views, food, history and most importantly by the hospitality of the host. Wonderfull time. Highly recommend.
A great family-run hotel set in traditional style. Our room was comfortable and met all our needs. The breakfast was traditional Albanian and the owner was delightful. Plenty of parking. The taverna, also run by the family, offered good food.
The family managing the hotel is very friendly, the dishes are cooked with love, the view is stunning, the room is given you the experience of living in castle and finally the location is amazing (in the berat fortress/castle).
Pleasant hotel in the centre of Berat. Friendly and helpful host. Good breakfast was served on the terrace. The host arranged to park next to the hotel.
