The breakfast is great, comes with few options. The rooms are very beautiful decorated. The pool is a bonus because it's hot and you can chill. Maybe the only downside is the distance, but it's solvable by renting a scooter.

Located in Cat Ba National Park, Viet Hai Lan Homestay provides accommodation with free Wifi, air conditioning and access to the garden. All rooms features garden and mountain views. Lan Homestay was very relaxed and beautiful. Lovely gardens and hammocks. Activities available to sign up for (hike to viewpoint, bikes around town, kayak with bioluminescence, Long Ha Bay tour). Staff was friendly and attentive. Able to accommodate vegetarian and vegan diets, with lots of veggies and tofu and meat alternatives for dinner, and fruit with simple pho or pancakes for breakfast. Would recommend!
