The rooms are great hearing the sound of the waterfall, Manisha makes the best food. Highly recommended for people who like to be close to nature, seeking for adventures or just chill in serene environment.

Specially the food was amazing 🤩 and the mother of the owner was so kind and good person she made me feel like That I stayed in my home with my mother ❤️🙏🏻 as well as she cooks yummy Sri Lankan food that you can try in this place ! From delicious lunches and dinners to delightful surprises and the most mouth-watering fish barbecue - probably the best meal I have had in the two months I have been in Sri Lanka. Immaculately clean, equipped with a kitchen containing everything one could possibly need, and beautifully built and decorated. Originally intending to stay for four nights, we found ourselves captivated by the charm of Charming Dark Lodge, extending our stay to twelve nights. Departing was bittersweet, as we had grown attached to the unparalleled hospitality and the tranquil ambiance of our temporary home. A particularly memorable moment was celebrating my birthday during our stay. Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt, wir hatten die villa mit eigenem Pool und würden es jederzeit wieder buchen. Waren vorher unsicher da noch nicht viele Bewertungen vorlagen aber es ist eine neue Unterkunft und deshalb vielleicht noch so preiswert. Also Preis Leistung war wirklich super.

You sit on your own balcony surrounded by views of rain forest, mountain tops, birds in all colours. The extremely friendly host family prepares tasty sri lankan food, offer you fruits from their own garden - they have ALL sorts of interesting fruits depending on season. They show you around their tea plantage and all in all just makes you feel good. The cabana (cottage) has all basics and is very clean. This is not luxury, but I personally didn't miss anything. My best recommendations!
