Located in Dambulla in the Matale District region, with Popham's Arboretum nearby, Kandalama Lodge provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to an indoor... Everything in our stay was perfect. The location of Kandalama lodge is great if you want to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigirya and Pidurangala. The lodge is cleverly designed, and well maintained. The garden is a quiet oasis, peaceful and beautiful. We stayed in both the deluxe villa with the private pool and the “regular” rooms. We enjoyed both. The staff made our stay even better. I’ve never seen a manager, cook and helpers so attentive in my life. I rarely rate a stay a 10/10 but they deserve it.

Fantastic place where I particularly particularly loved the terrace, the magnificent garden (so many species of plants, birds and animals!) and the breakfast. You will never find a better and more service minded host than Udika. Always smiling and singing. A truly happy place to stay. Walking distance to the centre ant to the Lion Rock, but not recommended walking about in the dark due to the wildlife.

Set in Matale and only 44 km from Kandy City Center Shopping Mall, Heavens Acres Lodge offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The lodge had a beautiful and peaceful garden filled with trees, creating a serene atmosphere. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the necessary tools and appliances, including pots, pans, a gas cooker, fridge, and washing machine. The rooms were also nicely arranged and had everything we needed. The bathroom was well-maintained and clean. Overall, it was the best stay we've ever had.

I came here for 1 night to hike, stayed 3 nights and didn't do a single hike. It was too good to stay with Nero's family, volunteer there and at the pre school, share meals, meditate, go for walks, play with the kids... I have never felt more at home in Sri Lanka than here. If you go there, take your time, help around, enjoy real kindness and sharing. I can't thank you enough for my time at your place ❤️ This is a safe place to stay as a solo female traveler!

Located at walking distance to Pidurangala and Sigiriya Rock, staff is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are comfortable and clean. It was amazing to wake up to the sounds of birds and monkeys, Great experience of being in a wild and feeling more than comfortable- great food. Location is great as well - hidden in the forest and short walking distance to main sights.

Sigiryia rock access is more or less across the street. A paradise!
