Situated in Shimo-tajiri, 38 km from Mount Aso and 26 km from Daikanbo, Ginga no Yado Kinoko2seigo features accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning, a garden and a shared lounge. The cabin was nice and confortable, maybe a little bit old, but ver clean. Hit spring was also great and the breakfast service was awesome.

Set 41 km from Mount Aso, Kurokawa Mori no Cottage offers a garden, a terrace and air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. This is the best place I have ever stayed in OITA. The house is very nice and very cozy. It is very warm and the place is very beautiful! Even my mum and dad who do not normally say anything was very vocal how much they love the place. The owners were very helpful and very warm people too. Just a note that you cannot go here without a car because it is in the middle of the forest. But renting a car and going here was the best decision we have made for our whole Fukuoka trip!
