Emilia and Mike are absolutely lovely and made us feel so welcome to the area. They gave us loads of great recommendations and had the answers to any questions that we had. They also have surf boards to rent which was super useful for us. The lodges are beautiful, well equipped and surrounded by nature. It’s a very short walk to Playa Carmen. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, we will be back.

Staying at La Muñequita Lodge is so much more than just somewhere to sleep. It´s like entering a new, exciting, relaxing, friendly world - with a lot of animals, exotic trees and flowers. The hosts are superfriendly and helpful. The house was spectacular. Basic in one way, but exclusive in another. One detail is that I really loved the wooden floor. So soft for your bare feet. Delicious breakfast and dinner. It was very interesting to hear the hosts history of how they ended up here, and take part of their future plans for their small business. We could safely park our rental car here while we spent three days in Drake Bay. It felt much better than park it by the harbour. The hosts really have big hearts and you leave with a better belief for the humanity. I can strongly recommend to stay here. I will be jealous of everyone of you that will.
