Offering garden views, Finca la Bonita, Playa Carate in Carate offers accommodation, a restaurant, a garden and a terrace. A patio with mountain views is offered in each unit. Location in the trees of the Costa Rican jungle, perfectly private, outdoor cold (but not too cold) shower under trees. Wildlife in abundance, from howler and spider monkeys in the trees above the cabin; to agoutis, leaf-cutter ants, various lizards and amphibians, crabs below it, plus stunning butterflies, toucans and scarlet macaws - one wonder after another. Christian is a kind, helpful, professional bilingual host, extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, first-class tour guide and able to fix anything. Meals all prepared from fresh ingredients. My favorites were the breakfast fruits and dinners with avocados and freshly-caught fish. All staff was friendly and accommodating. It was the most peaceful, rejuvenating week I've ever had.

With Rincon Beach reachable in a few steps, Kinkajoungalows - Amaya Family, Drake Bay, Osa Peninsula offers accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a terrace and a bar. This property is beautiful. I loved how it is right by beach, literally from my bungalow to the beach was a 1 minute walk. The rooms are spacious and clean, I loved the large front porch where you can sit outside and enjoy coffee or read and watch all the wildlife. This place is also run by a native tico family, and they make you feel like you are at home. There is a restaurant and bar on the property with great food and drinks!! You can grab a mojito and chill in the hammocks by the beach to watch the amazing sunsets. A little tip I would say is it bring cash because you will need it for boat rides and it’s better to pay for tours and food with cash to save some money on taxes. The WiFi is not the fastest speed but I was able to work completely fine from it. I would definitely recommend staying here, this place is absolutely gorgeous.

Amazonita Ecolodge is situated in Dos Brazos in the heart of the Jungle, 16 km from Puerto Jimenez. Free private parking is available on site. All units feature a seating area. Our stay at Amazonita was nothing short of magical. The amazing Zulay accommodated our vegan diet. Even though we had a language barrier (sorry our Spanish was so bad) she made sure with the translate app that she knew what foods to avoid!! She made three amazing home made Costa Rican vegan meals for us!! Including vegetables and fruits that we did not know existed. She also recommended an amazing hikes for us. Thank you so much Zulay. We especially loved Jose and his amazing service. He helped us with our bags on the climb up to our lodge and literally anything else we needed. We already miss joyful and kind spirit so much!! Thank Jose for the beautiful jewellery! (from Carly with the purple hair) If you want to really experience the Costa Rican Jungle & the unbelievable Costa Rican hospitality, stay here. Still dreaming about how wonderful everything was. A few FYIs - there is no wifi or service but there is a wifi hot spot 30 minutes into the Bolita hike from the lodge - the directions we got in English I think were a bad translation. Here are better ones: Coming from Puerto Jimenez, drive towards La Palma. After the Rio Tigre Bridge, take the first left. There are signs here pointing to the lodging options. Keep driving this bumpy dirt road for a while. Eventually you reach Gallardo. In Gallardo, you will see a sign on your right for Corcovado National Park. Turn left at the road opposite this sign. (there is a road before this one with a sign on the right that says "Gallardo 300m" - do not turn down this road) After the left turn, follow this road until it ends. You will see a big sign for Amazonita Lodge at the end of the road. Turn RIGHT. Keep following this road, past the bridge, all the way to the end. You cannot drive any further and you will be at Amazonita! Definitely recommend 4x4 vehicle but we made it just fine with our 2-wheel drive car.

Surrounded by tropical rainforest, with waterfalls and nature, Luna Lodge features incredible nature tours, yoga, spa treatments, an organic swimming pool and free Wi-Fi in public areas. Everything was simply spectacular: the whole staff is always keen to help and make you feel at home, starting from Lana, the incredible owner of the lodge; the food is local, fresh and delicious; there is a whole range of activities that Lana organize - we even had the opportunity to participate to a Cacao ceremony that was quite an experience. You could literally spend from few days to few months in that lodge as you will always feel at home. The view of the yoga place is spectacular. Just keep in mind that the road to get there requires 4W car and a really expert driver, so if you don’t feel confident, is a good option to accept the lift from the lodge.

Such a gorgeous location & super friendly staff!! It was our second stay & we love being at La Leona & so close to Corcovado.
