Nestled in the jungle amidst an enchanted botanical garden, 300m from Playa Grande, Wildlife Lodge Cahuita is the perfect getaway for nature lovers. We loved the place due to its big surrounding garden, which is stunning and beautifully taken care of, and the team there which is super welcoming. The delicious breakfast was a new experience every day. You can spot wild animals (birds, frogs, spiders ...) on the premises and can hear the howler monkeys and many other sounds at night. I loved the power outlet on the patio. We would definetely come back!

We saw more animals on the hotel grounds than in the national park. Good access to the beach. Very private. Comfortable rooms. Beautiful interior. The staff is always ready to help you. Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach. All units feature a seating area. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with pool or garden views. The place is full of animals. In their garden you can see sloths, parrots, toucans, frogs, iguanas,even kinkajou. Pierre, the host was so nice and teached us how to find animals

We have stayed in many places around the world, few as satisfying as Passion Fruit EcoLodge. Delphine and Bert were consummate hosts, the breakfast extraordinary, and the aesthetic of the cabin, the pool, and the surroundings exquisite. Simple elegance, done with the refined taste of an interior designer and architect. Each choice, from the food to the furnishings to the burbling dipping pool attached to the cabin, was done with such attention to detail and with such care. We were surrounded by the sounds of nature, from the wild sounds of the howler monkeys to soothing sounds of more than a dozen different birds in the space of a few minutes (identified with Merlin, the Cornell Ornithology ID app). On one day, we were rained out of our adventure, but returned happily to the front porch of our cabin to read in the Adirondack chairs. We felt not only well-taken care of, but in the company of intelligent and worldly hosts. Passion Fruit EcoLodge merits our unconditional praise.
