The owners are very caring, helping with anything you need and providing great advice to discover the best spots in the region. The pool is magnificent, the lodges are very well decorated and comfortable. The lodges are in a quiet environnement and yet situated 5min walk from the center of Potrero where you can find supermarkets, several restaurants and beautiful beaches.

Samara Chillout Lodge is a boutique hotel located 10 minutes' walk from Samara Beach in a quiet area. It features an outdoor pool surrounded by a tropical garden. Exceptional hospitality, beautiful place with excellent breakfast! Highly recommended do not miss the breakfast with homemade flavors!

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi, Horizon Lodge Potrero provides accommodation in Potrero. All units feature a satellite flat-screen TV, a private bathroom and a fully equipped... View was amazing! Infinity pool, small but lovely. Very attentive hosts. Car needed as not walkable to restaurants.

Located in San Juanillo and only 1.7 km from Pleito Beach, Chalet San Juanillo provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Very friendly people on site and the accommodation was the most modern I have had so far in Costa Rica. The chalets were immaculate and the pool was great. Having a kitchen was a real bonus. The closest beach is nearly empty most days. The village is a real tico experience - beats any of the tourist traps around.

Offering an outdoor pool, tennis courts and massages services, Guacamaya Lodge is located in Paraíso, 9 minutes’ walk from Junquillal Beach. Free WiFi access is available in this lodge. The location was perfect for us, close to the beach so easy to go down for a swim and just to sunbathe. I enjoyed being away from a large, busy area but close enough to a local shop that has everything you might need. The rooms were spacious and clean. The restaurant was lovely with a good variety of food, even many vegan options (huge bonus!), a huge selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and the cocktails were VERY tasty. The grounds of the hotel were immaculate and added a wonderful feel to the stay. A big bonus was having the tennis court on-site, it was nice to play a little tennis after days of doing nothing but relaxing!

Surrounded by the jungle and offering a wooden restaurant, palapa roof bungalows and a swimming pool, Mundo Milo Eco Lodge is located 350 metres from Juquillal Beach. Cabañas Cañas Castilla is located on the shores of Sapoa River and 10 minutes’ drive from La Cruz town. It features Orosi Volcano views and one day tours to Nicaragua. Peaceful location, lovely owners and delicious food. The cabins were serene and comfortable. Loved the hammocks. The trail walks were beautiful. We loved seeing the spider monkeys every day and the resident sloth comfortably tucked away (high in a tree). We would visit again in a second. One of my favourite travel experiences. Gorgeous beaches were a short drive away.
