Located within 31 km of Skukuza Indigenous Plants Nursery and 24 km of Skukuza Museum, Nkuhlu Tented Camp provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Skukuza. Where to begin? This tented camp exceeded all of our expectations. The tents were beautiful - had everything we needed. We booked a river tent and so glad we did, the view was breathtaking and we were lucky enough to have elephants cross the river and walk right past our little balcony. The bed was v comfy, wifi was spotty but better than we expected considering we were in the bush. Staff were amazing - Hazel was brilliant and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. This is a self catering camp so be sure to stock up before arriving so you don’t need to leave the park (there’s a big shopping mall is Hazeyview which is about an hour from the Kruger gate). Stayed for three nights and loved every minute. Can’t wait to come back!

Located in Marloth Park, Kaya KaBush is a recently renovated accommodation, 40 km from Crocodile Bridge and 41 km from Leopard Creek Country Club. The location was perfect as you could see the animals right on your doorstep. The house was well equipped, and we even got a nice thank you gift from the host because she was not around to check us in personally because we came later than the check in time. We were also allowed to check out much later than our check out time.

Paradise View Guesthouse, a property with a shared lounge, is located in Graskop, 16 km from Mac-Mac Falls, 29 km from Sabie Country Club, as well as 35 km from Vertroosting Nature Reserve. Everything was perfect. We felt very comfortable and safe. Shirley is a great hostess.

Lovely fenced complex with various self catering cottages. Very nicely furnished and equipped. Lovely beds, wonderful outside area with birds, squirrels, mongooses and bushbabies visiting.... Watch out for the cheeky monkeys too!

Situated within 32 km of Orpen Gate and 40 km of Blyde River Canyon, Bongan Safari Lodge offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Mbabat. Nice hosts, they prepared dinner for us for 150 ZAR/person on request, but the dinner was a 3-course buffet. Beef stew with rice, vegetable salad with dressing, Greek salad, and fruit salad for dessert. I have to say the food was the best of the whole holiday I have spent in Africa. Big comfortable bed and pillows, shower for 2. Close to Kruger park.

Offering a garden and garden view, Groenewald's Haven is set in Nelspruit, 5.8 km from Mbombela Stadium and 3.9 km from Nelspruit Nature Reserve. The room I stayed in was just redone and it was lovely! I enjoyed another great stay at Groenwalds Haven!

Located within 8.2 km of Drakensig Golf Club and 18 km of Kinyonga Reptile Centre, Gem In The Bush Lodge provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Hoedspruit. Location excellent with with Zebra, Waterbuck and Warthogs roaming freely. Good birdlife too. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. Great coffee and breakfast. Very good and friendly communication with Karen the manager.
