闆娘公寓 is set in the Yancheng district of Kaohsiung, 600 metres from Love Pier, 800 metres from The Pier-2 Art Centre and less than 1 km from Kaohsiung Museum of History. We loved our stay and wish it had been more than 2 days 1 night! The room was spacious, the bathroom was clean and I loved the lounge areas downstairs such great places to get some work done!

Very clean and cosy B&B (or minsu 民宿, as they call it in Taiwan). I had a single room which is quite small but exactly suitable for one person. All of the amenities were brand new. For same price in Taipei one could expect a run down place with a sparkle of creepiness, but this B&B was exeptionally good. Location is also great, just 400 meters away from the Meinong Bus station and downtown area. Free bicycles provided for customers is also amazing, since Meinong is extremely walking unfriendly. getting around on a bicycle or scooter is a must.

This hostel is basically like a hotel - so comfortable, clean, and quiet! I was lucky and had the whole 6-bed dorm to myself the one night I was here and basically it was like staying in a hotel! No socializing area, however, so consider this if you're looking to meet new people.

Local knowledge is shared and recommemdations for restaurants and trips are readily available. All rooms are different. Mine had a double bed. The bed was uncommonly soft for an Asian hotel, but the owner will adapter to your needs as required. The hotel does not serve breakfast ,but this gave me an opportunity to sample the local breakfast scene It adds to the experience. .
