The host was charming and welcoming and genuinely cared that I have everything I needed, took the time to introduce me to items unfamiliar to me such as the European coffee maker, lights, and climate controls. She was wonderful! The room was also charming. This one room with full bath guest house was more than sufficient for my needs and was so very comfortable. All the creature comforts and the details put together with great care. I will absolutely go back!

Delicious cake on arrival. Private courtyard to enjoy the evening sunshine. Coffee machine in room. Fabulous breakfast. Couldn't fault it. Would def visit again. Thank you to our wonderful hosts.

A recently renovated bed and breakfast situated in Smilde, De Schotse Hooglander features a garden. The property has pool and garden views, and is 41 km from Simplon Music Venue. we liked everything about De Schotse Hooglanders. The indoor space was huge, clean and beautiful and outdoors was picture perfect. Breakfast was perfect and our hosts were fantastic. would highly recommend and would love to stay again for longer

It is situated 13 km from Martini Tower and features room service. everything was just perfect! haven’t seen such a friendly, enthusiastic, professional and dedicated team for a long time!! food en drinks were very good and affordable. the rooms were great, well designed and spotless. all in all a 10+!
