What I enjoyed the most was Saro’s hospitality and the location (10-15 min from Battambang, in the nature). My bungalow was rudimentary inside (just a mattress on the floor, with some nice decoration and a well-needed fan though) and a desk to keep my thinks but, sincerely, I did not miss anything and I think that this is what made the charm of the place). I also had a private terrasse, which was more furnished (with 2 fans and a nice view), on which I would rest and chill. I also appreciated the possibility of taking the bike for free. Saro’s family was very nice too.

Bun’s homestay was delightful. He has a wealth of information to share. Him and his family are beautiful. I loved my time here. They have free bikes too. Thank you

My grown-up son and I spent five unforgettable days with Phirum’s family. The family completely included us in their life and we became friends in this short time. They offer way more than any guesthouse would. The sweet Khmer bananas from their garden, the delicious homemade meals, the walks in the countryside - it all adds up to an unforgettable experience. I can still hear the hum of cicadas in the evening as I write this review. The rooms were as described, nothing flashy, but super clean and comfortable. Aircon in my son’s room was excellent and the fans in the bamboo hut made it nice and cool. Most importantly, in their home you will see how ordinary people live their lives, and the family give a great example of hospitality and resourcefulness. At first I was unsure about how we’d deal with the distance from city centre, but that was absolutely no problem. It’s only 15 mins away by tuktuk, and Phirum helped to negotiate local rate with the driver ($3). Also we spent a lot of time exploring the neighbourhood. A beautiful 30-minute walk takes you to the local Buddhist monastery and a smart restaurant with a lovely view, especially at sunset. I hope that you will come and stay with Phirum to discover real Cambodia for yourself.

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, O'hamok family is located in Battambang, 2.8 km from Battambang Museum and 2.9 km from Colonial Buildings. The hosts are warm and welcoming, that made the whole difference. Thank you guys! We rented bikes and explored the area which was very nice. The place is as portrayed on the website, very simple but has everything you need on a basic level.

Located within 1.2 km of Battambang Museum and 1.6 km of Colonial Buildings in Battambang, Lotus Blanc Homestay features accommodation with seating area. Amazing stay, the owners are really making sure you have everything you need. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Good AC and fast internet. I strongly recommend going for activities with their associated tuktuk driver Mr Nikki, he was an excellent guide, very king and knowledgeable.

Set in Battambang, a 6-minute walk from Borey Thmey Mall, Por chey has a terrace, as well as free WiFi. Por Chey was the absolutely best value-for-money property I’ve ever stayed at. Each room seems to have a slightly different deco, they’re sparsely furnished but with everything one might need for a night or two, including complementary water. The owner was ready to do a room swap for me when, no fault of the property but due to the location (people, remember we’re in Cambodia near rural areas), I was greeted by some local fauna. Both rooms were equally clean, plenty of space, hot water in the shower (there’s no partition between the toilet and shower, but one only needs to be mindful when showering), solid mattress and good pillows. Service level was great: upon arrival, the owner arranged a tour with his trusted tuk tuk driver (if it’s trusted, there’s a good reason, the guy was a great guide!), my coach reservation for my trip back and a last minute dinner. The location is a bit further from the town centre than for other hotels, but still easy to walk (or just get a tuk tuk). Overall, exceptional stay indeed! Thank you!

Lovely gardens and 2 pools to choose from (one was covered which was great in midday sun). Family who run are very kind and welcoming.
