Maasai homestay camping is situated in Sekenani. Guests staying at this apartment have access to a fully equipped kitchenette. The owner was waiting for us, as It is pretty far from Nairobi, but you can also fly to Masai Mara. But this is meant to experience the local life to the fullest, so it comes with everything included. Experience the 'Masai life', the owner will accommodate you with other needs, but communicate them in advance; if you want breakfast and what, he can organize your day, and he is very resourceful. Also knows some local hang-out places which are way cheaper than the traditional tourist resorts. A thing to do is to go eat with him a local national food, a grilled goat, nyama choma, eat from same plate together with by using the hands and connect with your rental manager on a different level.

Enkusero is a small boutique camp, owned and run by William who is a local Masai, a passionate host and an excellent guide with15 years of experience. He took us for tailor- made safaris and went out of his way to show us the Big Five and countless other wonderful creatures. The location was fantastic and ideally located to visit the Masai Mara reserve. Our tent was luxurious and beautifully furnished . They had wooden decks with large verandas, for us to enjoy the sight of zebras, wildebeest and gazelles that grazed and freely roamed around the camp. The camp was exclusive and intimate in character with 3-4 luxury tents, perfect for one large or two small families. The food was par excellence . Robert is a fabulous chef who delighted in serving us exquisite dishes, most beautifully presented. We were quite apprehensive of food as we are vegetarians but it seemed no trouble for the skilled chef. The team, service and hospitality was superb. We took packed breakfast on most morning game drives. They were delicious and plentiful. I would like to make a special mention of the bush dinner with camp fire and lanterns which was really spectacular. William also organised sundowner drinks and it was simply humbling watching the sunset in the vast, peaceful setting of the Mara. We thoroughly enjoyed a visit to the traditional village of the Masai community, which William was happy to organise. To add to all this, the money spent at the camp directly benefits the local Masai community as it provides direct employment and there are no middlemen involved. We stayed 5 nights and each day was above all our expectations. Fantastic place where to stay if you want to be in the middle of wilderness and at the same time feel safe, special and be treated like royalty. Perched on the hills of the private and secluded Megwarra escarpment lies Entumoto Safari Camp. The camp offers panoramic views over the Mara plains and features an outdoor pool, restaurant and bar. Everything about this spot was perfect!

Maji Moto Eco Camp is located at the foot of the little-known and spellbindingly beautiful Loita Hills. This is an experience we won't forget! The campsite was beautiful. The facilities are not only functional and eco, they're beautifully designed. The shower and toilet with a view are not to be missed. The hot water is fetched from the natural hot springs, so it really is eco. Just don't spend too long in the shower to respect others wanting a hot shower. Our tent was spacious, and with sufficient privacy. We re-packed everything into one suitcase to avoid taking two big suitcases into the tent for the couple of nights we were there. The staff were very helpful, and explained everything in the camp well. We enjoyed all the food, the culture visits, the tours, learning about Maasai life, and the whole experience. I read in a guide book that it's 'put-on' for tourists but the majority of the staff are real Maasai although they're perhaps of the generation that is now schooled, etc. they still know a lot about their own culture and will happily answer any questions to teach you about their lifestyle.

Nestled on the banks of the Ntiakitiak River, Olare Mara Kempinski is located in Masai Mara and boasts panoramic views of the savannah and game species. I would like to give 10 of 10 for hospitality and the service of all Olare Mara Kempinski Resort. Were amazing few days stay where game drives, sunsets and sunrises were marvelous thanks to the great staff of Olare Mara. Also, one and only experience was flying over the vast plain of Masai Mara covered by hundred thousand wildebeests and other animals of the African savannah. We were literally in the middle of great migration one of the natural wonders of the world. Even if 24 hours before many of these gorgeous animals crossed the Mara river and went to Serengeti, somehow just as nature knows they change their plans and back on the Masai Mara plains.
