Lovely grounds with small bungalows and lots of plants/trees all over. A rustic chic feeling. Cleanliness is super. The ladies ensure that the kitchen and the premises are sparkling clean. Shared kitchen is well equipped. The manager Tina is awesome. she speaks English! She helped organize transport from Solo. airport to Harry's and then to Jogja. I literally didn't have to worry about that part at all. Unfortunately for me, I fell ill with a viral infection soon upon arrival. Tina went out of her way to help me heal. Made a herbal drink that kickstarted my recovery. And was always available for any help I needed. I felt well taken care of and at home away from home. Its a perfect place to hang loose for a few days, just a stone's throw from the ocean. Scooters are available for rent to go explore the region.

Set 400 metres from Rajegwesi Beach, Java Turtle Lodge Meru Betiri offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. Our stay was one of the highlights of our 2-months Indonesia trip. Java Turtle Lodge is an exceptionally beautiful place to stay at where they look after you and want you to have the best experience. Our villa was clean & comfy, showers were hot, food was delicious and the garden is actually my dream garden with a fish pond and hammocks. We had an amazing time on our Sukamade turtle trip. In all honesty, this was the most expensive trip we paid for on our trip, but it was so worth it. First we visited Green Bay for a little hike & swim, then we had a fun 2 hours jeep ride, deep in nature, to Sukamade beach. Later, we went to the beach to spot turtles who might come to lay their eggs. We were not lucky to see one in action, but we followed her way back into the ocean. We spent the night at the national park rangers’ post, which was a minimal room but had everything we needed. And the best thing… we released baby turtles in the morning. Everyone included in this trip was genuine and treated animals fairly. A much recommended stay and trip!

Situated in Banyuwangi, Mocca Guest House features free WiFi and units fitted with a kitchen, terrace and seating area. The staff were exceptional, answered all our questions that we had, and assisted us with onward travel. They also booked our Ijen tour for 350K each. The breakfast was really nice. The morning we left, we left very early, before breakfast time, and without asking they packed us a takeaway breakfast which was so nice of them. Definately recommend staying here.

Conveniently located in Licin district of Licin, Bamboo & B features a garden, a bar and a shared lounge. The property has mountain and river views, and is 31 km from Watu Dodol. This was one of our favourite places to stay during our trip. The chilling area on the first floor is so nice! It has a real cozy atmosphere. The double rooms are wonderful, it feels like glamping. We had to fight for the upper room going up with the ladder ;-) There are two bathrooms, this is enough for the number of rooms. They were clean and the view is great when you are taking your ‘outside’ shower! The owner is vey friendly and organised our trip for mount Ijen and the transfer to the harbour. No hassle… Breakfast was simple but good quality. Staying in a real bamboo house was very special to us. We would definitely have loved to stay more nights if it would have been available!

Irene and her family, has thought about every detail of a pleasent and comfortable stay. There is nothing that you may need during your stay, that won't be provided to you in a quick and nice manner, (e.g. information, comfort and facilities). They went extra mile to hlep us with our early check in, late check out and many other small but important for us things. Worth mentioning Budi ( the driver we went for waterfall tour), who's driving skills were exceptional and we loved his company during the 8 hours together! Highly recommending him as well!

This place had all we needed. Jude is really nice and helpful, got us a guided tour for Ijen and helped us get around.

Located within 31 km of Watu Dodol in Banyuwangi, Mi Casa - The gem of Ijen features accommodation with seating area. Everything was fantastic! Marc and Erica are friendly and they tried their best to make us feel at home. The food is great, especially the banana pancakes in the morning ! The location of the guest house is close to the Ijen which is about a 30 minute drive. We also joined a tour of the Ijen organised by the guest house, which includes a local guide and the transportation to and from the guest house. The guest house in itself allows you to fully relax and recover by the pool or the small huts with comfortable sofa's. They have plenty of animals (otters, a goose, friendly cats and a dog) wandering around making you feel like you're in a national park.
