Tampere Maja offers accommodation in an 18th century wooden house in the heart of the Old Town of Tartu. There is a cultural club in the cellar, showing exhibitions of Estonian and Finnish art. The guest house is an old wooden building, authentically restored, with very well preserved details (floor, ceiling). The rooms are practically furnished, suitable for longer stays (up to several weeks). In our room, apart from the bedroom with a double and a single bed, there were two sofa beds in the living room. This makes it suitable for a larger family. As it turns out, one of Tartu's sister cities is Tampere in Finland. Tampere maja plays a central role in organizing bilateral relations and functions not only as a guest house but also as a cultural centre. For example, the property houses a gallery where works by Finnish and Estonian artists can be viewed, and related artworks can also be seen in the guest rooms and the dining room. Breakfast was delicious and hearty, offering both local and international dishes. The guest house is very close to the central square of the old town, but most attractions are within walking distance.

Very nice interior, comfortable beds and quiet surroundings. Close to a grocery store and perfect location for an early morning visit to the Tartu University Hospital. Two separate bedrooms makes it possible to travel with family and friends without having to sacrifice in terms of privacy.

A recently renovated apartment set in Tartu, Dorpat Apartment features a garden. Good variety of meals for breakfast and lunch - oatmeal porridge, cereals, milk, delicious coffee, rise and pasta. Children were happy about the offer of small snacks. All this was an unexpected surprise as the reservation indicated that there are no meal options in this accomodation.
