Los amables y hospitalarios que son. Queríamos hacer treking al pico volcán y nos propusieron tambien otra actividad de vía Ferrata para el segundo día. Impresionantes ambas. También hay otras rutas para hacer por las tardes y el pueblo tiene mucho encanto. Vas con el dueño de la casa, Rosy, que habla muchos idiomas. Nos hemos sentido como en casa. Muy recomendable para quedarte en Portela.

El casa alcindo se encuentra en Chã das Caldeiras y alberga un bar. El casa alcindo ofrece recepción 24 horas y un restaurante. El alojamiento tiene vistas a la montaña. Everything... Attention , food, accommodation, internet (taking in account the house is in a remote place). They really care about you. I've never felt so welcomed! :) Alcindo is also the best guide to Pico do Fogo you could ever have.

We took room with bathroom and shower. Room was absolutely amazing. José was there for all our needs. He is a man with golden heart for people. He also guided us to Pico. I highly recommend

The house is beautiful and the location is perfect. It is better than the pictures.There's always a breeze from the sea, the pool is refreshing, the view of the volcano and the sea at the same time just stunning. Pipi and her family/team are perfect hosts. We are vegetarians and didn't expect much, then we had three super nice dinners and the most beautiful breakfasts with lots of possibilities. Really hope to go back there some day.

La Casa Ze & sonia se encuentra en Portela y ofrece vistas a la montaña, wifi gratis y estacionamiento privado gratuito. Ze and Sonia were super nice, friendly and accommodating. They could speak French relatively well. The room is simple but functional. The meals prepared were very delicious. The WiFi was good to work from there, and in case, the 4G antenna is located nearby. Absolutely recommended!

The host Lea was super helpful before we even got there. She answered all my questions very quickly and provided lots of information. They arranged the shuttle service for us as well as a guide to climb up the volcano. João himself is a guide and you can book him. Obviously the location is perfect and you have a beautiful view of the volcano right from the room. Make sure to eat at Isabella's next door, her food is delicious and she was such a warm and wonderful person. All in all it was a wonderful experience!

We took our time to have a deep conversation with her about life in Fogo. She made us feel like part of her family, she shared with us all Cape Verdean values. She is an incredible cook and an amazing woman who made this journey very special for us. The dinner was massive and extremely delicious, her chicken in tomato sauce and the vegetarian cabbage dish left us speechless. Yulia appears to be a respected member of Mosteiros society and people spoke very well of her, her neighbours gave us fruit for free and were happy to chat with us. If you speak Spanish and you are patient enough, Mosteiros and Yulia can offer you an unforgettable experience.

El Tortuga B&B ofrece propiedades con capacidad para animales de compañía en São Filipe. Treasured the breathtaking expansive black sand beach surrounded by mountains and basically having it to ourselves. Peacefulness. Roberto (and his cute dogs) are attentive hosts. He proudly provided a fine dining experience. This was a very natural experience in the outdoor bungalow, beach and tropical grounds compared to the large chain resorts that we normally stay at. Loved the very memorable two days there and great overall value.
