Eva and Markus were super hosts; there when you needed them and discreet when not. Breakfast was fantastic. About 1km from the beach. We really had a most relaxing time.

Beautiful villa with everything you need . Super comfy huge beds , lots of towels . We used the bikes everyday . Loved the location Langosta beach is perfect for surfing easy to walk to . Also loved all the local restaurants didn’t need to go into Tamarindo .

The location is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are really lovely and good sized. The photos don't do this place justice! Sergio and Mileidy are fabulous hosts and couldn't do enough to help (e.g. arranging taxis etc. for me as I didn't have a car). The food was exceptional - breakfast and dinner were delicious, creative and beautifully presented and they had decent wine and beer available if you want it.

Julia and Paulo are amazing hosts - they have a very small gated property with beautiful gardens and pool; we received an upgrade to an apartment with kitchen which was amazing; loved getting to know Jammin the Vietnamese pet pig and his 2 dog-cousins; appreciated the AC and soft beds (contrasted with very hard beds in other CR accommodations). they made us a lovely breakfast on day 1 ($10US each) then we cooked for ourselves. mostly we enjoyed relaxing by the pool as we had the property all to ourselves for the first day. groceries were easily purchased nearby.

Outdoor seating allows guests to enjoy the fresh air. We had such a lovely stay at Baliyana lodge. This place is a gem and Nathalie and Yannick are wonderful and helpful hosts. The accommodations are serene and beautiful, nestled in a quiet location surrounded by the jungle and the sounds of playful monkeys. At night, you can see all the stars in the galaxy from the stunning infinity pool and the garden grounds. The drive to get there can be a bit off-putting at first but you will quickly get used to it (maybe don't plan your first arrival for night and reserve an SUV). The WI-FI is weak and there are no TVs in sight, so plan to sign off completely and be intentionally and mindfully in the moment. You won't regret it. This is honestly the best place to do that, with a lovely and delicious curated breakfast in the morning. The lodge may seem remote but there are beautiful beaches and a few delicious restaurants a short drive away - Playa Avellanas and Il Rustico were our favourite. Tamarindo is a very doable 20 minute drive away. Do not hesitate to book this as your Costa Rican Pacific beach accommodations.
