We LOVED this place. Rooms were beautiful and so clean and cosy! The communal areas were spotless, the staff were super helpful (download WeChat for easy communication) and the food was super tasty! It’s a 20-25 minute walk to the Great Wall. They can sort a car for you but you don’t need it. It was so nice to finish a full day at the Wall then just walk back to this place which was warm, cozy and had great tea. The kids loved it and we felt right at home from the minute we walked in. Thanks for everything.

The breakfast was great. Our host, Ellie, was really accommodating and baked fresh bread, macaroons, and croissants for us. Your stay includes a roundtrip car ride and tickets to Gubei Watertown (just 5 minutes drive away). She also arranged for a driver to take us to Panlongshan for a small fee, which is a wild section of the Great Wall about 15 minutes away. I would definitely recommend the hotpot dinner, at the guesthouse, too. I appreciated the small details, like the bathbomb that was provided with the bathtub, too!

With Lianfeng Mountain Park reachable in 4.2 km, Guixu Huatang Homestay offers accommodation, a restaurant, a bar, a shared lounge and a garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Guixu. The owner was amazing and provided everything we needed. She truly went above and beyond. Her mom even made us homemade breakfast on our last day! The rooms were very comfortable, clean and newly renovated. The bathroom was amazing, I enjoyed the heated toilet seats. The room had all the amenities could ever want. The cute cat, koi fish and little bird were a plus in our book 😊
