This is an absolutely lovely place to stay, from the second we arrived the staff were so nice and helpful, they connected with us on WeChat and sent us all the information we needed to go to the wall, they offer a taxi service to the wall location close by and can book you a taxi to a further location. They recommended meals for us to try and sat with us to take us through the menu, I can't say enough great things about them they made it so special, the rooms are comfortable and have everything you need. They are located in a beautiful area. Highly, highly recommend

Situated 2.5 km from Gubei Water Town in Miyun and Simatai Great Wall, 20 km from Jinshanling Great Wall, Jumanyuan House features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking. The hosts were super hospitable, warm and friendly. The owner came to Beijing Airport to pick me up and brought me safely to their home. It felt like a homestay with home cooked breakfast. The breakfast was sumptuous, and had this very homestyle feel. The location is just six minutes away from the Gubei Watertown and Simatai Great Wall. I wanted to see the Great Wall at night so I chose to stay here. The owner drove me to Gubei Watertown and back to the hotel so transportation was fine and good. Wifi was fine and the bed was huge. Again, the owners were so kind and friendly. I felt like a VIP.

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, Simatai No.19 Villa is located in Miyun, 3.5 km from Great Wall of China - Simatai and 8.3 km from Great Wall of China - Jinshanling. The breakfast was great. Our host, Ellie, was really accommodating and baked fresh bread, macaroons, and croissants for us. Your stay includes a roundtrip car ride and tickets to Gubei Watertown (just 5 minutes drive away). She also arranged for a driver to take us to Panlongshan for a small fee, which is a wild section of the Great Wall about 15 minutes away. I would definitely recommend the hotpot dinner, at the guesthouse, too. I appreciated the small details, like the bathbomb that was provided with the bathtub, too!

We had a lovely stay with Lilly and Young. Amazing hosts very helpful and food is delicious. Best stay we have had in China and the highlight of our trip. We will be back!

Situated within 26 km of Great Wall of China - Huanghuacheng and 43 km of Ming Tombs, Yue Tong Farmer House features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Huairou. We loved our stay at Yue Tong Farm House. The couple was so kind and helpful and made our layover in Beijing worthwhile. They picked us up at the airport, made us a delicious dinner, the room was big and clean (mattress is a bit hard though), cooked us another delicious breakfast in the morning and took us to the great wall afterwards. In the end picked us up again and drove us to the airport. Everything went flawless. Although neither speak English, the translator does the job and the smiles do the rest.

This is a well run Hutong Hotel, located in a small village adjacent to the Great Wall. David is a super host, the room was totally clean and the courtyard is a very nice place to hang out.
