The hosts were great, the rooms are comfortable and clean, location and surrounding is great. You can relax on the swing, play football, online work in the garden, all surrounded by the beautiful mountains around Valbona valley. Not to mention the dough and jam for breakfast in the morning.

Providing mountain views, Guest house Hyrmet Demushi in Valbonë provides accommodation and a bar. This bed and breakfast features a garden and free private parking. This guesthouse was great! The bed was very comfortable with an extra blanket for those cold nights in the mountains. Like all of the other bathrooms we saw in Albanian guesthouses, it's on the smaller side and has no demarcation between the shower and rest of the bathroom. The included breakfast was delicious and served in their covered, outdoor eating area. There aren't any restaurants nearby, so you'll probably eat dinner here as well. That's not a problem because the à la carte dinner is fantastic. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering their competition is kilometers away. We ordered 3 veg dishes and one portion of meat and paid 9 Euro total. All of the food at breakfast and dinner is either homegrown or homemade, even the wine and vinegar! The location is outside of the town, but much closer to the beginning of the trail to Theth. It can be a little difficult to find, but their driveway is just off the main wash and there are spray painted wooden and stone markers along the way. If you get lost, locals will point you in the right direction. The family that owns the guesthouse is very friendly and hospitable. They'll even build a fire if guests want to relax outside at night.

The location is very quiet, and the view is impressive. Vila Alexander is several kilometers away from Valbona which is trying to turn itself into a groovy "scene". Pretty much car dependant, but local shuttles do stop nearby. Read all the details about location and policies, and there won't be any surprises.

The shuttle bus driver was able to drop us off at the guesthouse. Our room is big and clean. The view from the coriander was amazing. We wanted to start hiking around 7 am as weather might rain. Since breakfast at 7-10am. The host prepared us breakfast to go and their dad gave us a lift to the trail head ( save us 1.5 km walk) Hot water is strong. Wifi works great highly recommend !!! We recommend hike from Valbona to Theth

The owner was very friendly and we could ask him about hiking tours in the area. Breakfast was a buffet and you could take as much as you wanted. Lunch packages for daily hiking tours were offered optionally. In the evening comfy firepit. The place itself and the view was amazing!

Guesthouse Gezim Selimaj is situated in Valbonë. This apartment has a garden and free private parking. Truly excellent hosts who made me feel comfortable and welcome. Delicious and generous breakfast. Delicious Albanian doughnuts, bread, honey and jam, eggs, cheese, tomatoes and cucumber, and mountain tea. This set me up perfectly for the day’s hike! Lovely, cozy room, which was modern and spotless. It is exactly as pictured. The private bathroom was also nice and very clean. Fabulous views from the front door of the mountains. I was generously given a lift to the trailhead to Theth - many thanks! Location was easily accessible from the main road - I was dropped off by a van transfer from Fierze and found the property really easily with the advice sent by the hosts on the day. Communication was great. Most importantly for me, I felt very safe at the property as a solo female traveller, especially given that the room itself locked with a key.
