The room was modern and well furnished and designed. Spacious shower, we cooked breakfast and dinner in the kitchen which had 2 stove tops, pans, toaster, and all other necessitates for cooking (even olive oil!). The guys at lovelystay were helpful and even suggested where we should park our car for free during our stay in Porto. AC was good too.

The staff was very kind and friendly, especially the lady who checked me in when I arrived late at night. The room had a gorgeous balcony. Everything was clean. There was a lovely welcome kit that included a bottle of local red wine.

Provided you don't mind stairs, this represents quiet luxury at a budget price. We had a level four room of generous proportion with a lovely and expansive view over old Porto towards the river. Super clean, modern, great bed, scalding hot water and a pleasant host. We noticed a lower level room provided for self catering. The location was great for us....500m uphill from Sao Bento station, an inexpensive cafe bar on the corner with plenty of other small restaurants nearby. An easy meander down to the river.

The attention to detail is 5 star hotel quality. The flat is beautiful with lovely touches, e.g. the flowers and pictures. It's very handy for the old town and the River. Also a great supermarket near by. The host went out of her way to help us. If I did a holiday rental, this is the benchmark I would hope to live up to. Sofia is a great host and arranged everything for us from a Douro valley tour (plus early breakfast) to an airport shuttle. The breakfast is top notch aswell and the Villa and rooms are beautifull.
