We had a great stay at Traditional Newari Homestay! The location in Patan is way more quiet than in the center of Kathmandu. The rooms are clean, cozy and comfortable and the family is very very friendly! They even helped us a lot with bustickets and taxi arrangements. Breakfast and dinner is great! Sanu is a kind soul, and personally I think she is the ideal host. She provided me with beautiful stories about Patan’s culture, shared her wisdom, and gave great advice about sightseeing. Also you can feel the love that she puts in the food and tea. Taking care of guests and being a kind person seems to be in her nature. Her presence actually creates the experience. Her stories also made that I could understand Patan’s, Newari’s and Nepalese culture better. This felt valuable. It’s an enriching experience. The location of Sanu’s House is ideal to visit Patan. Everything is on walking distance, and very close to the most authentic places. You can start up your day at the guest house with fresh breakfast, and if you like you can also eat other meals here. I would definitely recommend staying at this heartwarming guest house.
