Lovely host, amazing food, Wi-Fi worked, surrounded by nature. The room is basic (no hot water, no AC), but that didn't matter, as we loved how it felt like we were in the middle of the jungle. Good to know: at night you can't walk around in the nature, as there are wild elephants. So if you go to the restaurants you need to take a tuk tuk back.

We recommend staying in this cute little Hotel. It s clean, with comfy beds, a rain shower, and a nice little balcony with a view of the garden. We spotted black-faced monkeys, a mongoose, and those big squirrels. The family is so welcoming, they offer to cook dinner (it was delicious every single time) and the included breakfast is delicious too (fruit, coffee tea toasts, and two Sri Lanka specialties that change every morning). They helped us plan our trip and are truly wonderful people. We extended our stay and loved it. Will come back :)

The hosts at Shan Mango Homestay (Shoolini & her husband) were exceptional hosts! We were arriving very early in the day and when I told them about it, they allowed us to check in early in the morning and did not allow someone else to book the previous night (just so that they can have the rooms ready for us). They were willing to forgo an extra night's rent! While there, we were treated to delicious breakfast & dinner (they made vegetarian dishes for us). They have beautiful mango & passion-fruit trees. They gave us plenty of both to eat and take home with us. They also have a cute, little pool but we couldn't use it because it was raining most of the time we were there in Sigiriya The rooms and bathrooms were clean and we got plenty of hot water. The only small negative was that the pressure in the health-faucet & wash basin were a little low. We told them about it and they said they will look into it Overall, highly recommended!

Such a unique place in Sigiriya, accommodation was very comfy and spacious with a good functioning airco. The garden is just the best place to hang out with a direct view at the lion rock and some stunning rice fields. The family is extremely welcoming and friendly and really made us feel at home. We also did a few tours with them including jeep safari and picking us up in Kandy with several stops on the way. We also very much enjoyed that and considered the price very reasonable. Overall a unique experience and can't recommend them enough!
