The only downside was that during our stay, there was a New Year celebration, and we could hear the street noise from the radios, but this was beyond the hosts control.

Spacious and functional. Beautiful view from the big balcony. Good kitchen with everything that you need. Direct access to the beach via the turtle hatchery. Very nice landlords who was happy to help and guide us during our stay.

the property was amazing. it was very clean. the bed was so comfortable, the bathroom was amazing with a great shower & lots of hot water. the aircon unit was really quiet. there was a nice kitchen area with more than enough equipment if you wanted to cook. there was also a lovely balcony to sit out on & watch the world go by. but the best thing about this place is the family. Sahan ensured we had everything we needed. he has a tuktuk & took us to the beach & turtle hatchery. he is so genuine & doesn’t try to rip you off. his mother is the most amazing cook. we had breakfast brought up to our room each morning. it was delicious & plentiful with a choice of Sri Lankan or English breakfast. both were amazing. for a small payment the mother would cook dinner - her chicken curry is amazing. Sahans sister & her dog kept us entertained in the evening. unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Sahan’s father as he had taken some people on a tour of Sri Lanka. there is a lovely place for swimming about 2km away from the residence. we would definitely recommend this place & we will be sure to visit again on our next trip to Sri Lanka

We had an excellent stay in a very authentic and cozy home for the last part of our holidays in Sri Lanka. Guy and Mary were very welcoming hosts and served us delicious breakfast with homemade curd, granola and bread. Home made dinner was also available but we unfortunately could not join due to our schedule. The pool is beautifully located in the middle of the forest and was the best pool we had during our trip. The house is located in a very quiet and serene place but with a scooter/tuk tuk, everything can be reached quickly. Overall, we had a great stay at Sri Mathie and would definitely recommend to anyone!

The hosts are the best I've ever seen: a very attentive and caring couple. Hani cooks delicious breakfasts and dinners, Nelum works in hospitality for more than 20years. He can recommend places and programs. The room is clean and cozy, they have hot water and a mosquito net. The village is quiet and very green. I stayed in the room downstairs, upstairs they have 2 more rooms, one with the AC. The view there is also great. Overall, you feel more like you visit your relatives than actually renting a room

We had an amazing stay here for three nights in February. The rooms and accommodations were perfect for us and offered everything we needed. The hotel is right on the beach (perfect for walking in the mornings and evenings… you might even run into some turtles on the beach, like we did!), with a nice pool and the grounds are very secluded. The rooms are very modern and open with great AC, hot showers with good water pressure and nice balconies to enjoy the ocean. We slept wonderfully. However, the highlights are Aruna and his staff who did everything to make us comfortable. The breakfasts were all top notch with fresh juices, Sri Lankan style eggs and fresh toast and fruit. They also prepared a Sri Lankan breakfast, which was a treat. Aruna was able to arrange many things for us, including scooter rentals and gave us all sorts of tips and advice. His staff was always present and available and eager to serve. We really appreciate him and all of his efforts for making our stay so memorable. Thank you!

I had asked them to accommodate my 7 year child and they agreed without hesitation. Due to a client extending their stay, we got an upgrade for 2 suites for the same price. The suites were beautiful and my little one loved as well my family and I. Their breakfast was so filling and delicious too. Their pools were clean and beautifully surrounded by a garden. I would definitely recommend Nirmala Villa to all my friends and family! Thank you for a great time!

Our room on the upper floor was huge with a great view. The food was great and the team even organized a private sunset dinner for us right on the beach. At the same time, we were taken care of in a touching way. Josan's team organized the repair of our cell phone, booked taxi rides and organized tuktuk trips. The time in Josan's villa was simply great!
